This is an absolute must when visiting Key West. The Banana Cafe has an amazing French bistro style mixed with a little bit of key west island flair. The food was absolutely incredible, the only thing better than the food was the service. As a...fellow member of the service industry I judge places more by how they serve as opposed to what they serve. I must say I was blown away. Every single employee had nothing but the brightest smiles and upbeat positive attitudes (even when the restaurant was slammed pack the entire time we dined). My server Jheal provided impeccable service. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations for not only food but things to do in the area were welcomed and appreciated. Truly blew us away!!! She was an absolute gem and we were lucky to have her as our server. We will be back!! Don't miss this spot!More

We waited for a table for two for 15 minutes on a Sunday morning. The staff is polite, but it feels like they definitely are on island time. We waited a good bit before our drink and food order was taken. We ordered an egg...sandwich and French egg sandwich. The OJ tastes fresh squeezed and the vanilla iced coffee was very good.More

The breakfast was delicious and service was efficient and the atmosphere/design is really fun. The prices are really reasonable with a great selection.

We’ve eaten here in the past and the food has been good. This time we ordered eggs, bacon, potatoes and a waffle. Everything was cold. How are over easy eggs and ore cooked bacon cold? We were there at 7:30 when it opened and it...wasn’t crowded. Food came out fairly quickly. $40 for a disappointing meal.More

Really cute little French restaurant. Service was terrific. Excellent French favorites. I had a Belgian waffle and my husband had an American 2 egg breakfast. The waffle texture and flavor was delicious. Eggs and bacon were great. Indoor and outdoor seating. We will definitely return.

Banana Café offers indoor and outdoor dining right on Duval street. There was a short wait for a table, but the staff was pleasant and engaging from the moment we walked in. We opted to dine inside - the décor was quaint and quirky a...perfect fir for the location. Even though they were packed we were greeted promptly and drinks served quickly. The lunch menu offers many choices we opted for Croque Madame and escargot. Both dishes were executed extremely well and flavor subtle and balanced. Tried their version of key lime pie for desert and it was well executed with the balance between tart and sweet (whipped cream - no meringue). The owner was present and the entire team's passion and dedication showed. Will definitely return on our next visit to Key West.More

Staff was slow to acknowledge we were at the table. Manager and/or owner walked by several times and didn't even say hello.

We had a light lunch at Banana's. It is a comfortable place with good food and good service. The food is sort of French, with crepes and quiche, along with more American offerings.
