Eight of us had a delicious dinner here this evening. Kyle, our waiter, and Scott (I think the owner) were gracious, welcoming, and fun. All the comments regarding the food being high quality and scrumptious are absolutely true. So far this is the best meal...More

Really good food and great staff. The appetiser trio is excellent (especially the shrimp). Really enjoyed the chilli with noodles.

Heard lots of good things about this place online but never in person. I thought maybe we a gem but we found an average restaurant with decent food. There are way too many restaurants in Key West to not necessarily waste your time, but to...More

A small off the beaten path restaurant. A residence converted to seat a very limited number of dinners. Arrived a bit ahead of our reservation time, but that is not an option here, so had to seek out a local bar. Seated on a bit...More

We decided to try this place after reading about it in the Dining Guide - seems it's a fairly new, LGBT-owned place, a few blocks off the touristy section. That was all appealing to us, and it was worth the walk. Friendly greeting, friendly server...More

FBFC is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth a visit. The lobster mac and cheese is out of this world - delicious, rich, and loaded with lobster. Make sure you're hungry, or you may not be able to eat dinner after having...More

Thank you for thinking of us. Most people make reservations at most a couple of months out. We haven't a parking lot, but there is generally plenty of street parking. Hope this helps. Scot.

We don't, per se, but we can make chicken fingers or fries or spaghetti, stuff like that.

Description
An "only in Key West" restaurant, The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. makes a statement on the hushed stage of a residential neighborhood. It is one part retro supper club, one part sassy corner bistro, and one part highly personal whim. Fred Isch, self-proclaimed Air Force Brat, grew up in every geographic segment of the country with a mother who loved cooking and collecting recipes. His partner, Scot Forste, grew up on the farm where his mother, bored of city life, spontaneously relocated to get back to the land, breed horses, and grow fresh, healthy food. Every recipe on the Flaming Buoy menu is an interpretation of something Fred or Scot ate at their respective family tables. Local additions, like seafood, tropical fruits, and Cuban flavors reinterpret the nostalgia, and the result grabbed the attention of the New York Times in 2011. Whether from a porch seat next to pots of herbs, or inside a white dining room accented in orange, dining the Flaming Buoy way is delicious and fun.
