FBFC is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth a visit. The lobster mac and cheese is out of this world - delicious, rich, and loaded with lobster. Make sure you're hungry, or you may not be able to eat dinner after having...More

We had a wonderful experience at flaming buoy from start to finish. We were warmly greeted and seated at our table right away. We took advantage of half price bottles of wine with an entree purchase which was a great deal. The lobster Mac and...More

This is a very charming place, off the beaten path but not too far to walk from Duval. We went Oct. 14 and they were on a limited menu after Irma. The entree I wanted was not available. We enjoyed the trio appetizer, especially the...More

The food was great. Some unique dishes. The Lobster Mac and Cheese is wonderful. Tasty desserts too - some with a little spice added.

This place is very nice, in a small street not to crowded. The staff is very nice and attentive. The food is very good too. I recommend this place outside of Duval.

This little restaurant is located in a quiet neighborhood. We sat on the porch to enjoy our meal. The food is very good and the service-cheerful. Worth a visit.

Thank you for thinking of us. Most people make reservations at most a couple of months out. We haven't a parking lot, but there is generally plenty of street parking. Hope this helps. Scot.

We don't, per se, but we can make chicken fingers or fries or spaghetti, stuff like that.

Description
An "only in Key West" restaurant, The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. makes a statement on the hushed stage of a residential neighborhood. It is one part retro supper club, one part sassy corner bistro, and one part highly personal whim. Fred Isch, self-proclaimed Air Force Brat, grew up in every geographic segment of the country with a mother who loved cooking and collecting recipes. His partner, Scot Forste, grew up on the farm where his mother, bored of city life, spontaneously relocated to get back to the land, breed horses, and grow fresh, healthy food. Every recipe on the Flaming Buoy menu is an interpretation of something Fred or Scot ate at their respective family tables. Local additions, like seafood, tropical fruits, and Cuban flavors reinterpret the nostalgia, and the result grabbed the attention of the New York Times in 2011. Whether from a porch seat next to pots of herbs, or inside a white dining room accented in orange, dining the Flaming Buoy way is delicious and fun.
