We ate on the front porch so don't know what the inside of the house was like. It was hard to choose my entree, but we both had excellent meals. It is off the beaten path so very quiet.

Jay was a great host and server for us. I booked the venue because of other reviews I have seen about this being a "locals" place. I would go back in a minute. The selections of wine and beer are amazing and the food was...More

We made reservations as recommended but they were not needed as we found out. The lobster Mac and cheese was great and the snapper with banana salsa was great but you can get the same quality of good at many other places around town for...More

Our server could not have been more pleasant and helpful with his suggestions. We started with the black bean soup (vegetarian friendly) and appetizer trio(lobster mac and cheese, caprese salad and grilled shrimp). For dinner we had the grilled mahi mahi with lime butter sauce...More

We came here twice! The daily special was mahi mahi and was the best we ate all week! It was grilled perfectly, and the bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious!

Ate here with a large group for dinner. The staff was super nice and accommodating to say the least. We were loud and took up 3 tables and the staff couldn't have been nicer about it. I did find the food good but not anything...More

Very friendly and charming restaurant in a quiet side street. Was greeted and served in a very friendly and charming manner. The place also features an interesting wine list with some rather unusual finds like a Sauvignon Blanc from Slovenia... amongst others. Food unfortunately did...More

Off the beaten path and definitely worth the trip. Atmosphere is quant and food is delicious! We ate on the porch which really allowed us to get a feel for life on the keys.

Thank you for thinking of us. Most people make reservations at most a couple of months out. We haven't a parking lot, but there is generally plenty of street parking. Hope this helps. Scot.
do you have a kids' menu?

An "only in Key West" restaurant, The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. makes a statement on the hushed stage of a residential neighborhood. It is one part retro supper club, one part sassy corner bistro, and one part highly personal whim. Fred Isch, self-proclaimed Air Force Brat, grew up in every geographic segment of the country with a mother who loved cooking and collecting recipes. His partner, Scot Forste, grew up on the farm where his mother, bored of city life, spontaneously relocated to get back to the land, breed horses, and grow fresh, healthy food. Every recipe on the Flaming Buoy menu is an interpretation of something Fred or Scot ate at their respective family tables. Local additions, like seafood, tropical fruits, and Cuban flavors reinterpret the nostalgia, and the result grabbed the attention of the New York Times in 2011. Whether from a porch seat next to pots of herbs, or inside a white dining room accented in orange, dining the Flaming Buoy way is delicious and fun.
