This place came recommended by friends who had visited before we were in the Keys and we were very happy with their recommendation. We were running late for our reservations but we got a great table out on the porch and our waiter was super...More

Small but very cozy! We didn't have a reservation and they squeezed us in anyway. Food was amazing -- little pricey but worth every penny. The lobster mac&cheese was a definite high point. The two servers that tag teamed us were outstanding. LOVED IT! (Make...More

Slightly off the beaten track, but don't let that stop you...this place is fantastic. Try the lobster mac and cheese, delicious. Prices were reasonable and the staff treated you like family. Menu is creative and when described by the staff it is hard to choose...More

This place is off the main drag in a residential neighborhood, a small converted home with about 10 tables (so make reservations). I had the lobster mac and cheese, it was a huge portion and delicious. My husband had the Ribs which were also good....More

My taste buds still fondly remember the Lobster Mac and Cheese. Great food choices--our bartender Brian took such great care of us that we came back the second night with the same awesomely wonderful end result!

Based on reviews we had high hopes. Staff were REALLy nice and helpful. Best way to describe food is average comfort food. Very heavy dishes some may like. But not for foodies. Lobster mac was touted but overloaded with cheese and under-loaded with lobster. More...More

Thank you for thinking of us. Most people make reservations at most a couple of months out. We haven't a parking lot, but there is generally plenty of street parking. Hope this helps. Scot.

We don't, per se, but we can make chicken fingers or fries or spaghetti, stuff like that.

An "only in Key West" restaurant, The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. makes a statement on the hushed stage of a residential neighborhood. It is one part retro supper club, one part sassy corner bistro, and one part highly personal whim. Fred Isch, self-proclaimed Air Force Brat, grew up in every geographic segment of the country with a mother who loved cooking and collecting recipes. His partner, Scot Forste, grew up on the farm where his mother, bored of city life, spontaneously relocated to get back to the land, breed horses, and grow fresh, healthy food. Every recipe on the Flaming Buoy menu is an interpretation of something Fred or Scot ate at their respective family tables. Local additions, like seafood, tropical fruits, and Cuban flavors reinterpret the nostalgia, and the result grabbed the attention of the New York Times in 2011. Whether from a porch seat next to pots of herbs, or inside a white dining room accented in orange, dining the Flaming Buoy way is delicious and fun.
