Stumbled upon this place after missing the turn to the place we were trying to go. Talk about Happy Accidents! The decor was beautiful sea-themed art, from ceiling to floor (literally- things painted on the floor). Best use of a former Pizza Hut I've ever...seen. The food did not disappoint. Conch fritters were cooked just right. I got the special, parmesan-crusted grouper with garlic mashed potatoes, spinach, tomato and corn, a dinner roll and side caesar salad. Not one, but TWO filets on the plate!! Restaurants back home in Virginia Beach would have served 1/4 of the food on the plate and charged just as much. Same goes for my daughter's Pink Shrimp basket (which also came with a side salad). We both got takehome boxes. The Key Lime Pie was also fantastic, with just the right amount of tartness so you know it's lime, but without making you pucker. 12/10 will return to try more dishes!More

We had a late dinner at Mrs. Mac's II on our first night in Key Largo. My wife had read about the pie (more on that later), and we were accompanied by our children (13, 10, 6yo). The dining room is very informal, and the...density is nice-- not wasteful, but not too cozy with other parties. Our service was friendly, informative, and really accurate. All advice on orders and portion sizes was spot on and we were regularly checked on, without being too obtrusive. We started with the conch fritters, which had a very nice texture, though they were a little bland. In the restaurant's defense, we found these bland everywhere that we went in the keys, though everyone (including Mrs. Mac's) provided flavorful sauces. I think that they are more of a texture thing. For dinner, we had a variety of the seafood baskets, and these were generally very good. The portions were appropriate and the fish and shellfish cooked appropriately and flavorfully. The one exception was that in my combo basket, the lobster was a little chewy. Our youngest had a child's meal, which was a very generous portion. Of course, we were very excited to try the key lime pie. The pie was my favorite in the keys. It had a much more complex flavor profile than many of the others we tried: sweet, sour, citrusy, and also a little hint of bitter that rounded everything off and made it stand out. The crust was good, and I also liked the whipped topping that they used. We later went back and just got a take-out pie. This was also excellent, and they give you a huge portion of whipped topping with it. Overall, we enjoyed this restaurant and would go back if in the area. It was great for family dining. The menu is pretty diverse, and there are lots of non-seafood options if that is your thing (we didn't try any of those, though).More

We had went to Ms Macs and enjoyed the food for lunch so much that we came back and tried to Ms Macs ll for dinner. Boy we were not disappointed. We went in the evening hours on a Saturday night and was able to...get in within 30 minutes. The location was packed and we had a great time. The food was out of this world and a single serving was enough for three people. We would happily recommend either location if you’re hungry.More

Fresh fish sandwich was amazing and it was huge. The key lime pie was worth the visit alone. The service was super fast and really nice wait staff. We had a fun family lunch there and everyone enjoyed their meals - especially that key lime...pie!!!!!More

Typical American diner with a “Key’s” character. Friendly staff, wide choice on the menu. Conch salad is a must if you go for local seafood, as well as the famous Key Lime pie.

Worth a stop! We have 2 fish eaters and 2 not. Everyone found something on the menu. The atmosphere is so fun! Waited a bit for food (busy night), but we didn’t mind. And yes, tried the key lime pie!

We were driving up from the lower Keys towards Miami and luckily we've found this great restaurant. I couldn't have been happier. Fantastic service, very kind and careful. Meals were great with tasty, guicy and really fresh fish prepared with excellent skills. The place is...a bit hidden in between trees and two roads, but please actively look for it and stop eating here, you won't be disappointed. I will most certainly go back if visiting again the Keys.More

We stopped in here after being recommended here. The food was not that impressive. It didn’t have much flavor and most all the food is fried.

Typically Keys, you can go without needing to dress up. The restaurant seems a tourist and local type at the same time. We choose it for the Prime Rib they have on their menu nightly and it was really great and at reasonable prices. Same...for the drinks. We shared one main course and they even offered a second salad with it and served the rib cut in two equal portions on two warm plates with gravy on each one without charging extra for this. Really good experience!More

According to their website, their outside seating is dog-friendly. Mrs. Mac's 2 is located in the median, between the south and north lanes of U.S. 1, so you are close to the road if you eat outside. But the food and service... More
