Mark's Prime Steakhouse in downtown Gainesville is quite a treat. It's a little pricey, but is really delicious and worth the splurge. The blue cheese sirloin was amazing and the mashed potatoes were seriously some of the BEST I have ever eaten in my life. The portions of the potatoes are definitely large enough to share with another, so plan... More

Expensive but best restaurant in Gainesville. Great bartenders, fun drinks, great salads, appetizers and healthy or decadent dining choices.

I have been a regular customer at Mark's for the last 10 years. Always left with a smile but this last time was different. For the first time, flavors were not there, and service was lousy. They need to pay attention to details from service to flavors.

Two couples on a busy night in Gainesville: Summer UF graduation. Everyone enjoyed their meals of steaks and fish. Good drinks and wine list. Much better than prior visit. Steaks cooked as ordered. Service prompt and efficient, We will return in the ver near future.

We had my daughter's doctoral graduation dinner at Mark's in Gainesville. We reserved a room for 23 guests and the staff helped us plan the menu so that the service went smoothly and each guest got to order what they wanted. The wait staff were very attentive and pleasant, and the food was excellent. This was one of very few... More

Mark's had the best steak I have ever eaten, as compared to other top quality chain and independent places. Our server was excellent and even told us we had ordered too much food so we could remove a few items from our order.

I wanted a special birthday supper for my lady friend and this was it. On-line reservations were a snap. We were greeted and seated immediately in a beautiful traditional dining room. I liked the wide selection of wines by the glass that were reasonably priced. We had a petite filet and New York Strip, with mushroom risotto and brussels sprouts... More

We took our daughters here for graduation dinner. Split bill with other parents. The bill was not out of our price range, but it was pricey. The food was very good, except the swordfish. Three of us ordered it and the waiter came and told us they only had two left. I opted for the Flounder ... glad I did.... More

The staff at Mark's always tries their best but sometimes the kitchen lets them down. Out server was excellent but our filets & rib eyes, ordered medium rare came out medium well. Because the wait was so long we went ahead and didn't send them back. I can only hope they get a handle on the grill person.
