Go for the specials - you will never go wrong. Excellent chicken, catfish, etc. It is a small, somewhat disappointing little spot from the outside, but inside the food is good! Locals meet and greet here daily.

This place was great! Lots of southern charm! Everyone was very nice and friendly. Seemed to be lots of regulars cause waitress knew what they wanted and had it ready before they were seated! The locals always know the best places to eat and I agree! My husband and the seafood sampler, it was huge and delicious! Would recommend!

Has a 1970's decor, its clean, well maintained. The service was appreciated and friendly, the locals must not rise early they didn't start arriving until I was leaving. The coffee was hot, but it wasn't Starbucks. My breakfast was good and the price was low.

This is a good locals' place that also treats non-locals like friends. Service is a bit slow, but cheerful, friendly and efficient. Food is good. I recommend it more for the atmosphere than for the food, but definitely do recommend it.

Very friendly staff with good service. This is how cafe's were in old Florida. Good selections of great food that will keep you coming back. They have the very best double cheese burger on the Gulf Coast.

Only place open after 8 pm, and long hours of driving, therefore very happy to find that local place open and friendly. Had a catfish filet grilled excellent, they can serve frog legs, fresh mullet: simple local place. Cheap and well worth It.

Very quaint and excellent food. A family member had eaten at the cafe previously and couldn't say enough about the food. We decided to drive about 20 miles from where we were staying to try it ourselves and were extremely glad we did! The food was excellent and so was the service. I will definitely return to this cafe during... More

The Freeport Cafe is definitely nothing fancy. I would say a little over "average" actually...but not "very good". It's a small old building on State Road 20, the kind with the bathrooms outside (which were filthy, by the way). Came here by chance at dinnertime. The place isn't that large inside, maybe about 10 tables. It is a "locals" type... More

Like all restaurants with fountain drinks, when the waitress walks by and fills your drink without asking, it's safe to assume they are not treating your cup like an open credit line. Come to find out, i was charged $10 for a lemonade that they just kept walking by and refilling without me asking. Aside from that, the food took... More
