Went here with buddy for lunch. It has been years since I have been there, but then again I moved away from the Sea Ranch Lakes area about 9years ago... The sandwiches are out of sign. They are very much like Carnegie or Stage Door in NY. Meat and cheese piled high on really fresh bread-of your choice-and absolutely delicious.... More

This is agreat place and the sandwiches are large and high quality - if you are getting a few sandwiches they can be very costly i.e. $12 each but they are large enough to share - corned beef is awesome

I stopped by Pomperdale for lunch at about 1 p.m. The number of customers already in the store encouraged me that I had made a good choice. The employees were friendly and accommodating. But ... I ordered a corned beef on rye and was disappointed. The bread was not particularly fresh. The corned beef was a little fatty for my... More

Been to Pomperdale three times to be fair in reviewing. I grew up in the "big apple" so I tend to be precise. I don't review on drinks or a pretty menu, I review on food taste, preparation, organization and selection of specialties. All that aside, Pomperdale can be almost as good as some of the reviewers think it is... More

This Deli is an oldie but goodie. Open since 1969. Long lines out the door at lunch. Fresh baked bagels, homemade soups, salads, deli lettuce wraps to overstuffed deli sandwiches and platters. I chose the overstuffed chicken salad made with fresh dill and of course Hellmans mayo with provolone, lettuce and tomato with hot crispy French fries. My other half... More

The overstuffed deli sandwich was just outstanding. Best NY style deli you'll find anywhere in the Ft. Lauderdale area. The food, atmosphere, and friendly service make it a "must" stop on your foodie tour.

My wife asked me to take her to this deli for the first time. We live down the street. The pastrami overstuff sandwich was $12.59. By the time we got another sandwich, drinks, and soup, the lunch bill for carryout was $41.00. I would recommend a less stuffed sandwich for a more reasonable price.

Description
We at POMPERDALE DELI recognize the need to continue the tradition of keeping the DELICATESSEN alive. From generation to generation, corned beef/pastrami sandwiches piled high on delicious rye bread coupled with a simmering bowl of matzo ball soup have been enjoyed by people from all hemispheres. The experience of dining in a deli like this is not only a haven for foodies, but a step back into time when people would gather, waiting in line, conversing with other patrons as though they were long lost friends.
