Poor service, long waits, not enough parking and there is nothing special about the food. Staff needs training in customer service, lunch hours long waits that can be avoided, try not to go at lunch. Will not return.

First I was skeptical, because there name indicates it's a cafe. I was wrong big time. Place was busy and I would say fancy too. Lots of couples here, good restaurant for date nights. Service was great and fast. Prices are great. Good was tasteful. Highly recommended this place.

THe exterior is unimpressive and SR. 84 is hardly a spot for fine dining: BUT THIS PLACE IS GREAT. I had the whole fried snapper. Place is packed with locals. Obviously it enjoys a good reputation Full bar too Highly recommended

Stumbled upon Tamarindo Cafe while visiting Fox Car rental near the airport and what a find! The food was delicious. Had the following: freshly squeezed orange juice, chicken franchess (waiter's recommendation and not on the menu), ceviche, Tamarindo special, Marimonte, Super Tamarindo Cuban sandwich and the Coconut Flan. The food portions are large and were so good that we came... More

This time our dinners missed the mark... We have enjoyed this restaurant for a very long time... This trip we didn't recognize any of the staff and the menu was altered... When we asked they claimed it was the same team... Not so! The food was good but not as plentiful as before and everything was an up charge... I... More

In town prior to a cruise. Had an open night with 6 of us all inthe mood for Latin food. This was recommended and is just 3 miles from the Cruiseport area in Ft Lauderdale. Food was authentic, and a wonderful member of the staff, Louis, helped us with menu selections. Generous portions of food and drink and the bill... More

Comfort food with a Cuban flair. Wide variety of food options, large portions and priced reasonably.

We just had one night in Fort Lauderdale and asked a local taxi driver where we could get Cuban sandwiches and he recommended El Tamarindo. We walked to it from The Best Western ( about 1 mile), by the way, when the front desk clerk asked where we were going to eat she said it was her favourite place. So... More

Incredible! Delicious! Clean! Wonderful atmosphere! Unbelievably low prices! HUGE portions! I really can't say enough good about this place. We ate there 3 nights while in Fort Lauderdale. We were in Fort Lauderdale for only 3 nights so that should tell you something right there. :) We didn't even want to try another restaurant. The service is impeccable! You will... More

Great Latin cuisine at an incredibly affordable price. They have all the classic dishes one would expect. The chirrasco, yuca, beans & rice are delicious. But my favorite dish from here is not on the menu!!!! You have to know to ask about it..... It is Whitefish Carpaccio!!!!! It's presented on a colorful platter that shines through the thin slices...
