We were staying in Fort Lauderdale over the Christmas period and wanted somewhere for a meal for Christmas Day. We did all sorts of searching utilising Trip Advisor but were independently recommended to Casa D’Angelo restaurant. I’ve been to some very good restaurants in New York and in Italy and had fabulous food, but we were really spoilt here. The quality of my seafood, the recommendations and the specials, the menus were wonderful, the wine list was extensive and the service was fantastic. They had both external and internal seating with white table clothes. It was spotlessly clean and our whole experience was wonderful. We were not rushed at all and our bill, for the four of us, including A La Carte, three starters, four main courses, two desserts, cocktails and a $90 bottle of excellent wine, came to just in excess of $300. It was Christmas Day and we felt, for the quality it represented good value and we can’t wait to go back.

The recommendation did not disappoint! Excellent, friendly service from the gentleman whom welcomed and seated me and my waiter and his assistance. The initial presentation of chunks of Parmesan Cheese, olives, bruschetta was a pleasant treat as one studied the very extensive wine menu, very heavy with Italian wines. Wines were reasonably priced. The food I ordered was very well prepared and presented. Delicious with the service just right in its attentiveness. Upon departing the restaurant, it was raining. The parking valet offered an umbrella to get me to my car when he drove it to the restaurant's front door. I declined, but I appreciated he's welcoming service at the start of this dining experience as well as when I departed. When I return to Fort Lauderdale, I will return to Casa D'Angelo!

We were seating outside and promptly brought a lovely appetizer of bruschetta, olives, bread, oil and balsamic vinegar compliments of the restaurant. Wine list was extensive and had a variety of prices. Caesar salad was good and entrees (veal and pasta) were delicious. Our server Marino was excellent and made this a very enjoyable evening! Thank you! Will definitely return.

This is a very attractive place, well lit, all the table have white linen table clothes which sets off a very nice atmosphere. I wasn't seated for more than 30 seconds and realized some unrecognizable music was playing at a very loud level, I don't understand what the purpose of loud trendy music has to do with enjoying your meal, actually it has the opposite effect. Ordered a Martini which was generous in size, had the Stuffed Zucchini blossoms as an appetizer, so far so good. I had a very simple request for dinner, one that should not be a challenge to a Chef with a low IQ, I ordered the Pappardelle with sautéed garlic and butter, what I got was, pre-roasted garlic cloves thrown on the pasta and a bowl of melted butter with some pasta water mixed in, the dish had absolutely no taste, I should have sent it back but I was in a rush and tired. Service was good but the chef that prepared my dish should go back to a highly supervised salad prep station. This is not an inexpensive place.

A busy Sunday night before President's Day brought us to this what was at one time, a vacation favorite. We were seated quickly with a reservation. A generous cocktail was followed by two small pieces crostini with bruschetta a few olives and two pieces of Italian cheese, all very tasty. Two specials, one pasta with seafood was dull and average. The pasta was accompanied by one small lobster tail, two clams, one shrimp and one scallop. Really? The stuffed pork chop special was a good size, tender but overly salted. And it was accompanied by three brussel sprouts and three quarters of salty roasted potato. The chopped salads were good but for the price, should have been more plentiful. Expensive, average quality is a not a recipe for a return visit.

Nice outdoor table. When our waiter took drink orders from two of our party of five and disappeared we should have known we had a problem. Thirty minutes later we waived down a different waiter to order for the other three and review the lengthy list of specials. Entrees were reasonably priced from $20 to $38. We ordered specials and menu items and waited. All tables around us (2 of which arrived after us) were served, cleared and paying before we were served. The food was excellent- though the truffle pasta was tiny. After our 2.5 hour meal, we were ready to depart. It was then that we learned that the special entrees were $74 each! Should I have known? Maybe. But one expects excellent service with a meal that costs over $100 a plate and we certainly did not receive that value for our money.

Had a wonderful meal sitting outside at this establishment. The management is very sensitive to the Covid crisis and makes sure its patrons feel safe. All wait staff wear masks, there a paper disposable menus and hand wipes on the table. Food was top notch--had bronzino fish and grilled veal chop. Will be coming back soon.

If nothing else, Casa D’Angelo has a loyal following. This is an upscale Italian restaurant. I ordered the lamb ragu, over noodles. The sauce was flavorful and there was plenty of lamb meat. When you arrive you are given a plate with some olives, bread and a little cheese. Prices reflect the upscale nature with pasta dishes in the twenties. There is a full service bar and they churn out a lot of drinks. The front patio is a great spot if you want some outside dining. Overall, you will find this an enjoyable dining experience.

Casa D'Angelo never disappoints. The staff does a great job enforcing masks in public areas and the tables are socially distanced. They even added additional outdoor seating for those who are more comfortable dining outdoors. Personally, we prefer indoor because South Florida humidity isn't a thing I love. When you are seated, they UV wand the table for you and provide single use menus and disinfectant wipes. This is one of the few places I genuinely feel safe going to during Covid. They just updated the menu and the new offerings are delicious! The specials are always stunning. It is currently truffle season and Angelo makes a carpaccio dish that has truffles on top for an appetizer. You MUST try this dish. They knocked it out of the park! My husband usually has steak and he enjoyed his perfectly cooked (Rare!!) Delmonico Ribeye with a peppercorn sauce and seasonal veggies. I enjoyed one of the pasta dishes off the new menu which was a creamy dish with Lobster Medallions. Don't even get me started on dessert. The cheesecake is out of this world. Pair all of that with an amazing wine selection and you have a recipe for a perfect evening. The ambiance is definitely a place where people go to be seen. This is not the type of establishment that one wears shorts & flip flops to so keep that in mind. I love that this place reminds me of the fast paced hot spots in NYC. In addition to the stellar food, the service is ALWAYS the best. Martino is attentive and treats us like family. The entire staff makes any outing to Casa a great evening from Larry and the FOH staff to the BOH staff and crew. If you live in South Florida or are visiting, Casa D'Angelo is a must! Great for date nights, family dinners and friendly gatherings. We joke that Casa D'Angelo is so consistently amazing that any other restaurant is a disappointment . I do suggest always making a reservation. Especially on Friday & Saturday. With socially distanced tables, sometimes there can be a wait if you do not have a reservation. I also recommend taking advantage of the valet service while here. John is the best and makes getting into and out of the restaurant a breeze. I cannot say enough positive things about our favorite piece of heaven here in Fort Lauderdale.

Our first night on vacation in Fort Lauderdale and we wouldn’t have dinner anywhere but Casa D’Angelo!!! Our first visit in March 2019 was so good from the food to the staff that it left a lasting impression! Tonight was enjoyed appetizers, dinner, wine, and dessert! Our server, Aba, was phenomenal! She explained the specials, answered our questions about the menu, gave us advice, chatted a few minutes about italy and our hometowns. It’s wonderful when a server can be personal for a few minutes while maintaining multiple tables with a smile! Another server took the time to show me the wine cellar because I was fascinated by it. The food is excellent and so it the service! 5 star all the way! We’ll be back in March and this will be our first dinner night out once again!!!!

My friend and I chose this restaurant because it was her 50th birthday. We needed somewhere as special as the occasion. This place did not disappoint. First, when I reserved a time, I called because of the Covid issues and they told me all the safety measures they put in place. I think it’s more than anywhere else I have visited. They were so nice as well. We ended up running late and they had no issue to hold our table 15 minutes. Then, once we got there, they kept topping themselves. Again, every single person was extremely kind, making it so welcoming. The sommelier, Elkan, came over to help us with our wine choice. He was our favorite person there! He talked to us a little and was able to choose the best bottle for us, even lower than our price range (which I think speaks volumes on his character). He allowed us a peek in the wine room as well. My gosh, that topped our night. But back to the meal! Every. Single. Dish. Amazed. I mean, even the complimentary bread app had the most delicious flavors (bread, cheese, olives). The main course meals melted in our mouths. And the desert, just oh my god. I am so proud to be an Italian (and have this name as my former last name!). Thank you so much for probably the best meals of our lives.

Service was amazing. I was seated as soon as I arrived and it was crowded so get reservations. I ordered the pasta with lobster and it was good nothing to rave about. One of the guest had chicken and stated that the searing was just right but lacked flavor, salt and pepper was added but still not flavorful. The dessert was good, the cannolli was flavorful with the fruit. The supposely hot lava cake wasnt hot however it was rich in flavor. The other guest had the hot apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and enjoyed every bite. Our server Karl was great!!!!! Restaurant is a little pricey, average cocktail is $18.00, great drinks, however I would go back.

If you eat at Casa D' Angelo and are not completely blown away, you need to have your taste buds examined. We eaten at some of the greatest restaurants in the world, and this is by far the best food (Italian or otherwise), we've ever had. The crab cake appetizer was ALL crab meat (no bread crumbs) and it was delicious. My wife had the Atlantic Char (it's like Salmon) and it was cooked to perfection. Served on a bed of pureed peas and light polenta, it was phenomenal! I had the Branzino and it was excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice, and the authentic Italian staff was superb. Abba (short for Abbondanza) our waitress was very nice and a pleasure to talk with. Overall the experience was terrific, and I HIGHLY recommend treating your palate to some of the finest food it will ever eat.

Stepping into the immaculate Casa D'Angelo was merely the beginning of a five-star dining experience. We were seated by a charming gentleman, I believe the Owner, who explained and highlighted the extraordinary sanitary precautions they had implemented. This was followed by the introduction of Abba, our server for the evening. Abba eloquently informed us of the dinner specials with a wonderful Italian flair and presented our courses with warmth and professionalism. The food was exceptional.

Our Waitress Abba, made our dining experience delightful and memorable. She remembered our Dad who loved to dine here and passed away 3 years ago. She was warm and attentive. Our meal began with a delicious complimentary plate of bruschetta, triangle shaped focaccia bread, olives and chunks of Parmesan cheese. (In my view, You can never have too much Parmesan cheese!) My husband and I shared the eggplant Parmesan which was fantastic. We both had the Mediterranean halibut with olives and capers. It was also great. We finished with homemade gelato (the hazelnut and cinnamon were yummy) and the tiramisu was creamy and served in a bowl with two scoops. It was also wonderful. Can’t wait to return and visit our favorite server. Abba made us feel like we were family. Thanks for a wonderful evening Abba!
