Prickly pear margaritas are to die for...get there early (line at the door at 5:00pm almost every day) or wait and wait and wait...

We have been going to Canyon for 15 years, it seems. Always a great choice when you are going to the Gateway for a film. They do not take reservations, but the place is very convivial and you will not be ignored. You will be seated and served in a timely manner. Small plates shared to me is the best... More

This spot was hopping on a Friday night with a very crowded bar scene. So it was not a problem to sit at the bar and endure a short wait for a table. The wine and beer selection was good and the crowd was stylish. We enjoyed the mushroom/cheese quesadilla and the beet salad. Overall an enjoyable evening!

We went to Canyon this past weekend. It is a very small restaurant that does not take reservations. As usual we waited at the over crowded bar (no seating available) and bought a very over priced glass of wine and martini ($30 before tip). Ok, it is Ft. Lauderdale. But the biggest disappointment is that the food used to be... More

Just great dining experience. Food was very good. Atmosphere was perfect! Be aware that the restaurant does not accept reservations over the phone. Plan accordingly you may wait to be seated. And last but not least... YES. The bread pudding dessert was just delish! We definitely are coming back!

The prickly pear margaritas are great. Order them with salt on the glass rim. Ambiance is cozy. The Venison tapa was delicious and cooked to perfection. Also try the salmon toast and the braised beef rib. I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment.

We went to Canyon for drinks and appetizers before picking my wife up at the airport - so no dinner this visit. We enjoyed the house prickly pear margaritas, famous in the region. They are a bit sweet, but very smooth and go down easy. Two were gone before we knew it and more were ordered. We shared a lobster... More
