We had a party of seven including a 2.5 year old. The staff was extremely accommodating with our reserved table ready for us upon our arrival. They were particularly accommodating to the needs of our toddler who formed a quick relationship with our waiter.. The atmosphere is a great blend of wood, soft lighting, wonderful black and white photography and wait staff in more formal black attire. Their attention to detail was much appreciated. The wine list is fairly extensive and stocked with good quality and reasonable value Italian wines. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the veal chop with a nice reduction sauce which was a very generous size, tender and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Whenever my wife and I visit Fort Lauderdale we go out of our way to dine at La Dolce Vita which is an excellent restaurant and by far the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in the city. The food is outstanding and the chef makes enough modifications to the menu and offers enough specials where you’ll always have the opportunity to try something new and it’s sure to be good. Not to mention an excellent wine selection. The Italian owner treats you like a special guest in in his home and the staff is very friendly and attentive.

We were walking around this street : music 🎶 every Sunday from Around 6 to 9 pm. And we were a bit hungry so we stopped here . I started with a green based minestrone soup filled with green vegetables and beans , then I ordered grilled octopus. My husband ordered wine 🍷 and seafood pasta. The waitress is a doll , super friendly . Her name is Michele .

My wife and I had eaten at the restaurant many years ago, when it had first opened and had a wonderful meal at that time. We remembered the flavorful Pasta dishes that we had and the warm attention from the owners and were looking forward, to a repeat experience. Unfortunately, we showed up on a Saturday night and we were admittedly a half an hour late. One of the owners said he only holds tables for 15 minutes and we indicated that we would not mind waiting for another table. After getting a very cold welcome, we tried to have some champagne chilled that we brought to celebrate and had a very difficult time getting assistance to chill the bottle down. We ordered a number of dishes to share and explained to the waiter how we wanted the dishes delivered, unfortunately the food did not come out, according to the instructions provided and some of it had to be sent back to the kitchen. We ordered a couple different dishes to share, one was the pasta special which the waiter indicated had a number of different meats in the dish but unfortunately we had a difficult time finding any meat in the pasta and quite frankly the flavor was bland We also ordered a fish – I think it was a red snapper and it was wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber, also not much flavor there either. Apparently, the restaurant is very busy now, after being locked into its current location for a number of years, unfortunately, like many other restaurants, once things get busy, the restaurant owners doesn't take the same care of their customers and throttle back the quality of the food, being delivered, to their customers as what seemed to be the case with our last experience. Unfortunately, there will be no reason, for us to go back to this restaurant anytime soon

Inarguably, the food is very good. My husband ‘s dish of moist Pollo Romano was cooked. In a flavourful tomato sauce. My ravioli dish came in a large bowl —but inside the large bowl were about 6 -7 pieces of pasta.—a rather skimpy portion. Fantastic pasta -to tease my palate but leave my tummy disgruntled. . My major complaint was the service. Our server was too busy showering attention over the customers next to us who obviously were locals.. Not once did he ask if we were enjoying our meal or if we wanted dessert afterwards like he did with the other adjacent diners. (I did but gave up waiting when he did not come over after awhile ) When we asked for our bill from a staff member standing around —-only 25 minutes later did it arrive. Meanwhile that staff member was just standing around …idly. We noticed there were a lot of locals who seemed to have a rapport with the staff. So perhaps our less than satisfactory service was due to the fact we were “outsiders.”`The poor service and to a lesser degree, the paltry portion of pasta. , certainly took away from the enjoyment of our meal.

If I could give them 0 starts, I would. A client of mine suggested this restaurant so I called on 1/19/22 to request a reservation to celebrate my six month anniversary with my girlfriend on February 16. On February 10, I called to ensure the reservations were set up correctly; which they were. February 16 came and we went to the restaurant excited to celebrate our anniversary. My girlfriend and I are a young couple and we do look young; however, we dressed accordingly to the atmosphere of the restaurant. A black gentleman opened the door for us and a black lady sat us down. The black gentleman offered us water and that's about it. There was a man walking around taking orders from tables, while two black ladies, a black and spanish gentleman were delivering food or asking table if they needed anything. Essentially, there was 5 employees in the restaurant assisting clients; yet none of them approached us. My girlfriend and I sat down for 20 minutes and I'm not exaggerating, it was 20 minutes. We made eye contact with all the employees, but nobody care to assist us. Normally, if I was by myself or any normal day I would have walked out after 5 minutes or so; but due to the fact that it was our anniversary I did not want to ruin the evening. After 20 minutes, we asked one of the black ladies if they could assist us, she apologize for the wait and took our order, but it felt as if we were a bother. My girlfriend and I decided to cancel the order and left. I'm Spaniard/Italian while my girlfriend is American/Italian and we do look young since we are in our mid 20s. I refuse to think we were not assisted because of race, but I'm sure it was due to our age. We both strongly believe we were discriminated due to our age. If they want specific clientele, they should set a requirement instead of clients in this matter. Thank you for ruining our six month anniversary.

We went for dinner and had to return a couple of days later. Delicious Italian food, started with grilled octopus, a thick tentacle cooked to perfection. The gnocchi with a truffle sauce , unbeatable. Fresh fish grilled with perfect timing, catch of the day brought with bones removed with tasty sauce. Wine list with a large selection of Chiantis, Barolos, decently priced. Perfect service, we ate both times ot the sidewalk tables, kept impeccably neat and clean. Recommended with no exception for true Italian cuisine.

My wife and I have had the great pleasure of dining at this fabulous restaurant on each of our annual trips to Fort Lauderdale, missing the last two years for reasons universally understood. It was so very, very good to return this evening, and find the food and atmosphere every bit as wonderful as it has been on each and every other visit. Without hesitation, I admit to being a very picky eater, typically hesitant to try anything unfamiliar. The chefs at La Dolce Vita have earned my trust, at a level I would have never expected. Every morsel of every dish was simply delicious, and the decision making is greatly simplified by the proven truth that everything they serve is excellent. Tonight I simply ordered the specials, which exceeded my high expectations. So many restaurants have struggled or failed to endure the many challenges of the past few years. Staffing doubtless remains a daunting task. I am most pleased that La Dolce Vita is still here, still thriving, and still the most excellent Italian food I have ever had the privilege of enjoying. We will be back.

Lovely and authentic Italian restaurant. We dined outdoors which allowed us to enjoy the live music from the bar across the street. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgable. The food was delicious, perfectly proportioned, hot and full of Italian flavors.

From the moment we arrived we were treated to an authentic Italian experience. The staff was in sync, as everything ordered was delivered timely. The waiter/owner was very knowledgeable of the wines on the list, and how they should be paired with the food. We both had a truffle dish, and were impressed with the al dente pasta and the fact that the truffle sauce was not overbearing, as it frequently is in other establishments. Can’t wait to return and try the red sauce dishes.

We just came back from dining at La Dolce Vita in Fort Lauderdale and I have to say, this is really a GEM. Having been to Italy and being a little bit of a fan of the food and culture, it is hard to find truly authentic italian sometimes. These guys really do a great job. The ambience is just like being in Italy... Fabio the owner is actively working the dining room and engaging with everyone. The food is awesome and the desserts are out of this world. If you want to experience Italy without needing your passport, this is the place to go in South Florida.

Clearly homemade fresh pasta, so tasty, Service was attentive without being obtrusive. Location is in a strip mall. Tables were small as is the space. Not a good place to go if you're at all clostrophobic I will be going again. Price is higher than mid range but not as high as fine dining, which is good because the place is quite casual.

We had the pleasure of eating at La Dolce Vita last night and from the time we entered the restaurant until we left everything was perfect. We both had homemade spaghetti with our meals that was cooked to perfection. The bread was warm and crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, it was awesome! I only had pasta with a fresh tomato sauce, but it was delicious! My husband had the pasta with mussels, clams and calamari and he loved his meal too!

Very nice local Italian place with friendly staff. I even requested something not on their menu, cacio e pepe, and they were happy to create it for me. I also loved their spaghetti and meatballs. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We’re still comatose over our delightful meal! We started with salads, lightly dressed and tasty. My husband had the short rib ravioli; I had the vegetable pasta with burrata. Both exceptional. We split the lemon sponge cake for dessert— a light and tasty end. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Authentic Italian, well-prepared!
