Amazing

Or waitress Lyrical was amazing, patient, friendly, attentive. Food was fantastic drinks were great. The whole staff made our night.

Great service and great food! Sit in or drive through, it is all fantastic!

Yesterday I went to Sonny’s BBQ in Homestead, Florida. Our waiter‘s name was Justin Ramirez. He was very attentive to our table and never missed an opportunity to help when needed. He went above and beyond, though, when we asked him about covering up a...door. It was early evening and the sun was really bright. I am a quadriplegic so I am very sensitive to the sun. My skin turns red and I get warm very quickly. I was very uncomfortable. He actually took menus and taped them to the door so that the sun was not shining on us! The service was great, but I also highly recommend their food. The pork is my favorite, but all of their food really is fantastic! I tried the tater tots appetizer for the first time yesterday. It was really good. They have several options including chicken, beef brisket and turkey, all smoked to perfection in the way they have been doing it for over 50 years. Their corn muffins are also great. The ribs are delicious. The serving sizes are enough to have leftovers for at least two days. Don’t forget to ask for their signature barbecue sauces. There are four different choices but my favorite is the sweet barbecue sauce. You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose. The great thing is they also have a drive-through. If we drive through we usually get the pork three ways. It is enough food for at least 3 to 4 people and it is fantastic! Thank you Sonny’s and thank you Justin! God bless you all!More

Omg my belly hurts

Happened upon this place after leaving the keys & heading to the airport massive billboard sign in business since ‘68 so must be doing something right. OMG are they: the family platter for 4 enough to feed 6 was amazing I can’t describe the happiness...in my belly 5 hours later writing this. Great service, amazing brisket, chicken, pork, ribs, corn bread and the list goes on. Deserves more than the 5 stars. If I’m back in the USA and anywhere in 100 miles I’m driving here. The night flight home and sleep induced food coma is welcome. Will be back.More

We Went Back!

It's seldom we eat at the same restaurant more than once on a vacation. This was the first place we ate on our visit to the Everglades area. When we returned to Florida City after our trip to Key West, we both agreed this was...the comfort food and comfortable atmosphere we craved! Ribs (both baby back and St. Louis) were tender and juicy. Sweet cornbread! Yummy beans, both baked and green Southern style. Friendly servers and great signature beer!More

Lunch barbecue

After reading the review from the guy on Wisconsin I was a little hesitant but I loved that the manager commented back and was so gracious !! So we tried it ourselves. The wait staff always plentiful and great. We ordered side salads and a...Carolina sandwich on garlic bread. This was one delicious sandwich!! Well worth a revisit!!More

Great BBQ

The Sonnys BBQ was the usual bill of fair for a Sunny's BBQ. The good was good, plentiful and cheery. The staff was good and the service was good.

My best advice would be to try a better place in Homestead

Sonny’s is definitely not the best barbecue I’ve ever had. This last time it was the fatty pulled pork and the cold beans that “turned me off”. I would recommend instead trying “Shivers” in Homestead. Shivers is literally 5-10 minutes from Sonny’s. I liked Shivers...considerably better.More

Amazing staff, so good we had a return visit to say thank you

I hope the staff at this restaurant get to see this. We stayed in a motel nearby that had a coupon/flyer for this place and so thought we’d check it out. Our server was Randy who was absolutely amazing. A local guy who gave us...some great tourist stops for our trip down through the keys and then onto the Everglades. We stayed in Florida City again on the return journey and we went back to this place to say thanks to Randy who unfortunately wasn’t there. We started talking to Eliecer who was equally epic and an awesome person to speak to. It helped our English accents reminded him of Poldark 😂 The food was really good, not out-of-this world but it was much better than the other bbq place nearby. Value for money and I just can’t praise the staff enough. They made us feel totally welcome and that’s the most important thing for us.More

Good barbeque

Pretty good bbq for a chain restaurant. But Sonny's started out small and evolved into a chain. I would recommend it. The price is right, the service was great. We try to stop here when driving down to Key West.

baby back ribs were great

The baby back ribs were great as was the creamy cole slaw.The place is well maintained. The service was very good.This is my go to place when I return from the keys.
