Went here for a special night out as a couple. The atmosphere and views are unbeatable, the service is top notch, and the food is up to the high bar set by setting and service. Reservations are a must. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
We started off with an appetizer of eggplant medallions with jumbo lump crab meat. Very delicious but not so easy to share since it came stacked rather than individual medallions. Each guest that evening was given a complimentary fish bite. There was also fresh baked bread with herbs, oil, and balsamic vinegar for dipping.
My wife ordered the grouper Vince. It was a generous portion of grouper coated in a pecan crust and sauce. It came with green beans and potato cake.
It was exceptional, especially the crunch of the crust on the grouper.
I had the 16 oz cowboy steak. It was perfectly cooked medium rare and came with mashed potatoes and grilled baby carrots. I don’t even like carrots and all three on my plate were happily eaten. The steak was seasoned with some sort of Chicago or Montreal seasoning and melted in your mouth.
We shared the Corleone dessert. The nutmeg stood out upon first bite of this ice cream dish, but mellowed as they dessert was eaten.
The dress code is Resort casual. So you will see most any kind of attire even though it is an upscale dining experience.
For everything listed above, a coke to drink, and a little over 20% tip, this enjoyable dining experience came to $160. Complimentary valet parking is provided for all dining guests.

Incredible view of the most beautiful beaches in CONUS, the Emerald Coast.
My wife ordered the spinach salad and the Cowboy and I ordered the wedge salad and the short rib. We also ordered a side of truffled risotto.
Everything tasted exceptionally great!
Service remained quite professional.
Destin, FL reflects a most beautiful environment with incredible dining at so many various restaurants.
We will have to go back because the Marsala Chicken looked like it would just melt in your mouth.
You owe it to yourself to enjoy fine dining and an incredible view; especially at sunset.

My mother and I enjoyed the most delicious meal here on February 18,2020. We started our meal with a chef’s complimentary boudin hushpuppy with a mustard sauce...we wanted more. Our next choice was the roasted beet salad with arugula, goat cheese, avacado, fresh citrus, candied pistashios with a light vinegarette- it was divine. My mother had the fish special- blackened redfish topped with crabmeat on top of polenta served with asparagus cooked to perfection. I had the pan seared snapper with a citrus beurre blanc on top of polenta and asparagus. After my first bite i announced that i was not sharing a single bite with my dinner companion- i wanted it all to myself and finished every delectable morsel. We finished the meal with the chocolate soufflé and happily shared it with the charming couple at the adjacent table. Everything about this meal was perfection and truly memorable. Our compliments to the chef gave us a personal table side visit so we could applaud his culinary expertise. The restaurant decor, view and friendly staff makes this a fantastic place to eat. Would give more stars for the rating if I could!

We’ve been long time patrons at Beach Walk Café (BWC) for many years. Unfortunately, We’ve experienced a shift that changed from mutual appreciation of the customer to a caviler attitude over the past two years. This is most likely due to the expansion and opening of the new section of Henderson Beach Inn. In short, if you’re not a “guest” of the hotel, BWC reflects a condescending demeanor to outside patrons. The location, view, and ambiance is incredible; however, what was once a truly special eating establishment, has declined to “like it or leave it.” I made a reservation and requested a window table; as I’ve always done. I was warned not to park in the hotel parking, my vehicle would be towed. No valet service is available, I believe this started last year, “you must park on the street.” My question is, since we’re not considered a “guest”, what are we? I had to park about one quarter mile down the street, then checked in with the Hostess. We were escorted to a table, but not a window table as requested. The Hostess informed me they don’t reserve tables, really? Thanks Natasha, after about 20 years of requested tables, you’d think I would’ve been informed of this little tidbit. The service was acceptable, the food very good. However, the price of the meal is no longer justified; BWC fell well short of earning any further consideration. We’ve experience better treatment at the local Cracker Barrel, and parking is provided.

Unfortunately we are a small property with very limited access to ample parking outside of the curbside parking we offer, and due to our COVID policies, we're unable to offer valet for the time being. As for the request, we strive to oblige all requests made of us, but sometimes there are requests that we are unable to accommodate.

My wife and I have eaten at ths restaurant many times.
Four of us dined this past Wednesday. We ordered the diver scallops, shrimp and grits and red snapper along with a couple of appetizers and a spinach salad.
The fried green tomatoes and the thai chili shrimp appetizers are typically a good choice - tonight they were on par with something that a chain retaurant would serve.
The spinach salad was swimming in the bacon dressing to the point the plate was coated with dressing after I ate the spinach.
The diver scallops and shrimp were overseasoned (salt) to the point we took the majority of them home to rinse off and feed the dog.
The waitress was very nice but failed to inform us of the locals special (50% of the price) on featured wines until she brought the check. We would have order form this list had we known about the special prior to ordering.
Finally, I attended a function the next day at the Henderson Resort, while there I informed the management of our poor experience and asked that the manager of the restaurant, Jessica, to contact me so I could share the details of our experience. As of this writing, I have not heard from her.
Disappointed and hopeful this is an anomaly and not the new norm at Beach Walk.

My wife and I came here for a birthday dinner and selected it based on reviews we had read on-line. We were really looking forward to the experience. After arrival, we were promptly seated at a nice table on a balcony overlooking the Gulf. The lighting and ambience were everything one could hope for in a high-end beachfront bistro. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive.
I just wish the food had been better. We both had the spinach salad with warm dressing, which turned out to be overly sweet and cloying. I had the pork chop, which was overcooked and dry, although I had ordered it cooked medium according to the chef's recommendation. To the restaurant's credit, I was asked about my meal and when I told them the pork chop was dry, they offered to replace it, but I did not want a second entree. They did end up knocking a percentage off our bill, which I appreciated, although I would be much happier paying full price for a properly cooked entree. My wife had the sea scallops with shell pasta. It was good (I took a taste), but somewhat bland and not really very interesting.
I wanted to like this place. I really did. It has the potential to be an outstanding dining experience. But what we encountered was wonderful ambience and overpriced food.

We dined at the Beach Walk Restaurant one week after it reopened from the quarantine closure. The tables had been moved apart and the staff all wore masks, but it was our first dining out experience since 8 March and, having never been to Destin, we picked the perfect restaurant to restart our fine dining outings. The pre-meal bread and olive oil was unique, our tomato soup appetizer was spicy hot and our mains of scallops over risotto and crab cakes were perfect. We did not have room for dessert, but read they are special. We will visit again before our departure and highly recommend this restaurant. On fine days seating is available on the verandah. Be aware that children are not allowed; this is a classy restaurant suitable for men in coats and women in high heels.

Perfect restaurant for a sunset dinner. It was a beautiful location right on the beach to hear the waves from the ocean while you had dinner and watched the sunset. The atmosphere alone was worth going to the restaurant.
The food and service was also excellent. Edit was our waitress and she was attentive and accommodating to take photos despite being busy herself. The chef prepared the food perfectly for my mom who likes her steak well done, however it was actually still tasty which is hard to do! I got the bbq shrimp and grits which was fantastic and my dad got the tuna.
This is a must go to restaurant if you are in the area!

This is a wonderful special occasion restaurant. Fantastic Location overlooking ocean with a small intimate interior. From the moment we arrived we had the highest standard of service, everyone was so attentive. The menu is small but everything sounded delicious. We started with two of there signature cocktails and they were great. The chef prepared an Amuse bouche which was a fried fish bite..yummy. We started with the Thai Chili Shrimp and these were tempura fried with a homemade smoky dipping sauce. I had the special which was a blackened shrimp fettuccine pasta and my husband had the Snapper special. Both were cooked to perfection and tasty. Neither portion was huge but just the right amount to fill you up. We ended the night with a Guinness Brownie, super rich and perfect to share for an anniversary dinner. Prices were on the fine dining side, but worth it for the professional, attentive service we received. I recommend reservations at least a week in advance as seating is limited.

On a beautiful Destin night we had dinner on the veranda at Henderson Beach. We come often to Destin and always wanted to come here. Last October we had a reservation here but unfortunately Nector came through and our reservation was canceled. So we tried again this October. We feel
for the prices the night seemed to be a bit off for us.
We attempted to order the shrimp appetizer and server said what would you like for your entrees.
We said we weren’t ready to order entrees as we like to sit with a cocktail and have appetizer. She said chef wants us to order everything at one time. Come ‘on...never heard of this. So we waited until we were ordered our entrees. The shrimp appetizer was good and our grouper and red snapper dinners were also good, but not for the prices charged. Caesar salad was blah and unappealing. Music and noise was coming from bar below. Nice that people were having a good time, but we wanted to relax. Maybe some soft dinner music would work better in restaurant. Dinner experience was ok, but like we said not for the high prices.... we weren’t that impressed. Probably will not return. Wanted to really like it. Sorry.

The visit started out perfectly: great venue, great view, and the restaurant was perfectly understated yet lovely. Our server was friendly but not pretentious. I ordered the grilled romaine…it was slightly too salty and overdressed. We both got the lobster tail special w fingerling potatoes and asparagus and it was very good.
What was odd and very frustrating was that once our entrees were served, our server disappeared. No checking back to see if everything was good, or if anything was needed. No refilling of our wine glasses from our bottle chilling in a bucket three feet from our table. (We got up and got refills of our wine ourselves.)
And once our entrees were done and pushed back and silverware placed at the top of our plates, it was more than 10 minutes before our finished plates were cleared.
While the restaurant was reasonably busy, it was not overwhelmed and there were other servers. The hostess went by a few times but apparently wasn’t charged with touching base on service.
When we finally got a check, it was the wrong one (one for much less than ours). While it was tempting to just pay that one and go, we waited for our server to come back, fix, and get it right. The server did offer us a free glass of “bubbly” for the problem with the check, but nothing was acknowledged about the huge gaps in service during our actual meal.
I responded to a survey from the reservation app, hoping it would provide feedback directly to the restaurant. Almost a week later with no acknowledgement. This is a restaurant w good food with high prices and a great location. Not sure what is going on with service.

Me and my wife recently visited beach walk cafe to celebrate our 20th anniversary and I booked their toes in the sand experience for dinner. To say this was an amazing experience is an understatement. Literally sitting 20 feet from the beach and spending a night with a special someone. The food was fantastic, our server for the night could not have been better, and watching the sunset while feeling the sand on your feet, and listening to the ocean sounds was something we will never forget.

My wife & I had dinner at the Beach Walk Cafe while in Destin. The place itself is a small area making it an intimate setting. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were good & breaded just right. My wife had the surf & turf entrée which was cooked perfectly for her (she has to have her steak well done). The entrée was accompanied with home made ravioli which was also very good. I had the New Zealand venison which was accompanied by mash potatoes & a delicious sauce. My venison was a bit dry so the sauce was important in making it better. Our server was a very nice & attentive lady.

Disappointed. Had the BBQ shrimp and grits. They reduce the bbq to almost a paste. Much much too strong, ruined the dish, not to mention the grits were like wall plaster. To add insult to injury the sausage was over-cooked and burnt too. Moreover, my daughters entree (crab cake and eggplant) was ruined by yet another pungent sauce. One should never leave with an upset stomach, and we did. Too pricey for the end result. Very disappointed for all the hype and cost.

My husband and I enjoyed exceptional service with Candace taking care of us.
We ordered the smoked tomato soup as our appetizer and Grouper Vince - a signature dish - for our entree. There is bread service as well. All so good.
Be sure to make a reservation as the dining area is not very large. We requested outdoor seating on the patio. It was a beautiful evening, with a little chill in the air. There were plenty of heaters dispersed throughout the patio, so that was not a problem. Great atmosphere! The outdoor seating is weather permitting. A beautiful sunset view!
We ordered French press coffee with dessert and the final touch was a long stem rose given to us upon our departure.
It’s a quieter setting, perfect for couples, next to Henderson State Park. We look forward to returning!
