I think we found out a new neighborhood Italian restaurant

For the last 3 months my partner and I have been looking for a new Italian restaurant Mario's of sunrise was sold and the new owners have altered the food and it is now awful. So we've been hunting trying different places for a new go to place. We went to Pizza time last night and really enjoyed it we started with the fried raviolis six large raviolis that were crispy and the marinara sauce was excellent my partner had the small calzone which was huge and she took more than half home she had added chicken to it and dipped it in sauce and it was very good, I had the chick parm panini also huge and I took more than half home and the pieces of chicken were thick they were not flattened or thinned out you could actually tell it was a chicken breast or chicken tender and that sold me on this place. The sauce was very good to dip the panini in. We also ordered the garlic rolls to try them they were six very soft garlicky fresh rolls we ate two took the rest home just like the raviolis we ate two to four home and we have plenty of food for tonight's dinner I only ordered a water with lemon my partner had a regular iced tea and our bill was a little less than $37 plus the tip the server was on top of things she brought extra drinks without our even asking. Whenever we needed something parmesan cheese extra sauce to go plates she was right on top of it. And when we left the place was at least 75% full, we got there probably around 4:00 on a Saturday and maybe there were two other people in it and by the time we left it was a nice crowd. I will reiterate I think we found our new Italian home.

Generous Portions - Great Service!

Our group of 4 couples enjoyed a very nice evening and dinner at Pizza Time. My wife and I were visiting relatives for a few days in Coral Springs. The portions at Pizza Time were quite plentiful, and most of us took home what could easily be a second meal. The tomato sauce had a bit of a sweet taste to it, which was not exactly like the sauces that I prefer coming from NY. But Pizza Time's sauce was better when I added extra grated cheese to reduce the sweetness. Italian food can sometimes taste better as a leftover. So we actually enjoyed it a bit more at home two days later. The next time, I would like to try their pizza, which looked very appetizing on other tables. Anyway, what really motivated me to write was the great service provided by our waiter, Andres S. This guy was very efficient, and handled our group of 8 quite nicely. When questions were asked, he very patiently and politely answered. This was especially impressive as the restaurant was busy. And when it was time to pack up the remaining portions of our meals, he sent a young fellow over to provide boxes that were rightly sized for each of our meals. And just like Andres, this young man was friendly and very helpful. For service alone, I would give Pizza Time 5 stars!

I’ve being going here since I was a young kid. This place is the reason I gain weight from time to time. It’s so amazing it’s addicting! The food is the best you’ll find in south Florida and most places around the United States! The sauce is what makes the food is so savory yet with a hint ness of sweet it makes for the perfect recipe. If you are debating to go here. You should and join a gym because you’ll need it after getting addicted. But the reason I write this review is the delivery time I live 12-14 minutes away. And they delivered in less than 30 minutes in the rain! During a hurricane watch. It can’t get more impressive then that. I just had to let everyone know.

When your family suggests birthday and 35 anniversary with family - avoid this place

I called the manager twice today ,Joe and he is avoiding a call, I guess they had many, so here is my review. This was my “go to” for 28 years but this was the worst service last night! I am in the business and others at my table too, so we understand things but this was BAD!!!! We had a reservation but still waited to be seated 20 minutes with no acknowledgement then by a waitress. Then the waitress who said she is way too busy tonight and her name was Angel or Angela. The drinks came without asking if we wanted more to order, wine refills make money no? Waters not refilled or asked if we need anything? Appetizers came but no silverware to eat it with and when we asked for it by her, she acted mad as it was a hassle and silverware was thrown on the table in groups of knives on one side and forks were thrown on the other side, so we set our own table for a table of 8 ,we were doing self serve on items as it was put by wrong people. She would run by and never offer service. Garlic rolls we ordered for eight people but one basket came plain, salads with no dressing, pasta sides cold. Calzone was overdone or sitting too long that it kept bending the fork, to cut into it? Seriously, we were shocked, the forks were bending and we tried a few forks! We in the past, received food that was always amazing! What’s with the kitchen control and and the sides were cold with sauce on it? Oh and when she drops the bills she adds, “I charged someone bill on one of your cards at a wrong table but voided it”, she adds also tip is on but you can add more! That was bold for bad service!

Chicken Marsala do not order

Ordered chicken marsala and spaghetti as take out. The chicken looked like it was boiled, the marsala sauce was loaded with ONIONS, (which I have never seen in any restaurant) and the flavor was that of dishwater. We were finally giving pizza time another shot, I had not been back in over 6 years because of another bad experience. And if I called to discuss, the owner prob would have laughed at me or chopped my head off, like 6 years ago. DO NOT get this, i threw it all out including the spaghetti, which the sauce was flavorless. One note the salad was ok.

Wrong Order

I use these guys all the time and during this crisis, I wanted to give them my business and support. I ordered our usual a pizza time special and veal parm. The driver delivered 2 pizza boxes , The veal parm was right but they sent me a pizza time salad. I thought it was the drivers error but when I called , the young lady on the phone told me my order was right. I never order salad, she tried to tell me she repeated the order to me, but really I never heard her say Pizza time salad. Not going to argue with her so it is salad tonight.

Pizza Time not the same

Pizza Time was is my favorite pizza and it has totally changed. The grandmas pizza was incredible. The crust the sauce the cheese. The whole construction was a piece of art and delicious. The margarita pizza was a beautiful margarita pizza. The last time I had grandma’s pizza hi, I said this is not the same. The crust is different. The sauce is different it’s thinner. It doesn’t have the same texture. I thought that maybe they were just having a bad night. But, I stayed away for about six weeks because I was so discouraged. and, I knew something was very different. I was suspecting new owners, or a whole new kitchen, staff and pizza makers. I went back last night, and the pizza was worse than ever nothing like the original grandma’s pizza. I won’t be going back. I suspect new owners. Or new family members taking over and Making changes. Usually the store is filled with people waiting for their pizzas and last night it was empty. It makes me feel so sad. It’s a loss.

Craving PT Eggplant Rollatini,

Craving PT Eggplant Rollatini, a favorite of mine although it’s been a while since having. It was awfully vinegary and other than the taste of vinegar, there was zero flavor. The servers could not be less attentive or interested in their clientele, especially if you are there with an elderly parent. So disappointed I wasted my Eggplant splurge here. It use to be the only place to get good Eggplant and flavorful marinara.

Gigantic portions of terrible food!

We never had worse Italian food in all our travels! A 16oz Calamari starter tasted live a rubber tire (althoughI have never tasted a rubber tire) The veal parmigiana was a large slab of shoe leather. The portions are enormous but utterly lacking in taste. An awful restaurant. Stay away!!

Pizza Time has been a local gem in Coral Springs for at least 35 years now. It’s a typical New York style Italian restaurant with fantastic Italian food. You can’t go wrong here, the shrimp marinara that has clams and muscles with it is just outstanding and maybe the best sauce I’ve ever had. It mixes marinara with the taste of seafood over pasta of your choice. Fantastic dish and if you’re a Parmigiana freak. This is your kind of place. The pasta dishes the specialty pizzas, the regular round New York pizza, and the chicken rollatine is to die for. Large chicken breast rolled and stuffed with cheese and ham in a marsala sauce is also outstanding the portions are large the waiters are friendly, The specialty pizzas which very few people realize that you can get in a half size are the best ever eat, just a great Italian restaurant that has a large local following, try it once and you will be hooked for a long time. There isn’t just one good thing about this restaurant, everything on the menu is outstanding, and they will bend the menu for you if you just ask them. I’ll make basically whatever you want. Don’t be shy. My go to spot for 35 years now since I moved to Florida from New York.

Not the same grandma pie anymore

Pizza Time has great food, we usually drive an hour to go there and eat the grandma pie, our favorite pizza, but lately the dough is not what it used to be, I don’t know what happened but it feels harder, almost like pre made, I am not sure. The sauce is delicious and the cajole is delicious too. Unfortunately we will not take the drive anymore because the pie is not the same, but the food is good here, I just wish they could make like it was in the past.

Never Again

Ordered the eggplant parm with spaghetti. The sauce was so sweet and yet left my mouth burning. The eggplant was impossible to taste with all the breading. Huge great big portion but of the 4 layers I only ate the top one that had the cheese. And I scraped off as much sauce as I could.

No good. Fried calamari, terrible.... Eggplant dinner totally wrong! Smothered in cheese Wings dry. Baked classic ok ...nothing to brag about. I'm From NYC a little food Schooling. Never again ,back in the day different owners better quality.

Noisy as is Italian restaurants. Excellent pizza and salads. Our friends really enjoyed their food to! No mandatory 20% tip, so I left more. Dawn, our waitress was a hoot. Our friend had a chicken dish and devoured it! There was a piddling amount left, so he jokingly asked to take it home. She sarran wrapped it a little container. We had a laugh about that! Nice touch! This was a busy place on a Friday nite but our table was perfectly handled! Thans Dawn!
