Visited mid afternoon right before they closed. Had a fresh chicken salad sandwich on a Kaiser roll, chips and a drink. Nothing extravagant, but the owner and her employee were friendly, location is great, indoor or outdoor seating overlooking the bayou, and pet friendly. Even though they were closing, they never rushed us off the premises, and I was able... More

Based on previous reviews, I visited Kona Joe's on Saturday morning. What a great place for a wonderful breakfast. I had the crab quiche and cheese grits, and it was probably one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. It didn't hurt that the weather was gorgeous and I could sit outside overlooking the water, and... More

Every time we come to Cedar Key, we make it a point to have breakfast here at least once. I know I should diversify and get something different when I come here, but sweet Lord, the blue crab quiche and grits are so good. The place is tiny, and there is more seating on the porch outside than the inside... More

Stopped in for a late breakfast early lunch since they are only open until 3pm. Wife got eggs, bacon and grits and I got the shrimp and grits. Weather was great so we sat at one of the tables on the back porch area. Staff was very friendly and willing to modify the omlette on the menu. Food was tasty... More

Went there for breakfast one time. Not a big enough selection. Only three to choose from. Nothing to write home about. Bacon is paper thin and no taste.

Came here for lunch with four others. It was almost 2:30 so I called ahead to make sure they were open. Lady who answered the phone said they were open until 3 so we went straight over. When we got there the gentleman at the counter said that the grill was closed but they had drinks. I mentioned that I... More

Under new ownership, this little café is open for breakfast and lunch Wednesday-Sunday only. After ordering our breakfast items (crab quiche for me and egg sandwich w/bacon for hubby), we sat outside overlooking the bayou at low tide while chatting with nearby table mates. This is not a fancy café but service was good and friendly and prices reasonable.

Small quaint cafe on the salt marsh. Great view from the back porch. I had the best grits of my life here, and they make a wonderful smoothie too......and lets not forget the coffee! Friendly staff and great prices, Can't wait to return!
