Came for teatime meal with friend. Excellent choice of food at reasonable prices. Food was good and staff were polite and friendly. The place was clean and tidy and pleasantly decorated. Well worth a visit . Highly recommend
Met friends for tea having decided it was central to us all. A perfect summers evening so sat outside with soft drinks all round.
Food was just perfect , lasagne and garlic bread looked fab, fish combo with fresh battered haddock was nearly snatched off...the plate !! and the chicken strips were perfect. But BEST of all was the homemade chips ...... I wasnt sharing those little beauties with anyone !!!!
Get yourselves there, just great and I will be heading back quickly xMore
I had an interview in the area so booked one night. I was offered a week's work on the spot so extended my stay. They kept extending my work, week by week. Julie the landlady was exceptionally helpful when i went asking every friday to...extend my stay. If you were born with a silver spoon up your arse and think drinking water comes from a green glass bottle with french writing, this is not the place for you. However if you are an honest working man, who needs somewhere warm, clean, comfortable, friendly and extremely affordable, that happens to be less than 50 feet from the door to the pub, less than 50 yards to a railway station and less than a mile from a motorway, then this is the place for you. I have no hesitation in saying I would be happy to stay here again. I tried to think of one negative to balance the review and the only thing i could think of is, if your are in the furthest room from the main building the wifi signal is weak. But in the words of Arnold, "I will be back".More
Had a lovely meal with my daughter and friend at Whistle and Flute. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Tables were set out spaciously and service to your table so covid rules being followed. The meal itself was delicious, my almost two year old tucked...into steak and ale pie with mash potato, peas and gravy. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to eat out in a friendly and cosy environment.More
Went to Whistle and flute for Sunday lunch. Very impressed with the COVID in place. Staff very friendly. Meal was gorgeous, we asked for something that wasn’t on the menu and they had no hesitation to provide what we wanted. Food was excellent and very...good value. Definitely be going again.More
