What in the world could make a sauce scarlet red❓I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. Scared red sauce with smooth fried horrible coating of some sort. Rice, soup and egg roll were good. Friend ordered a non fried chicken dinner and was happy with it except the extreme heat. Service was exceptional but the place/ floor could’ve used a good cleaning. Not going back.

I found nothing spectacular about this place. Strictly average. Food did not taste fresh, but it didn't taste bad. I probably won't go back though.

Traditional Chinese cusine

We found this nice clean traditional Chinese restaurant at the corner of Jog Rd. and Woolbright in the Fountains plaza. A friends’ group went for supper - prompt service, good portions, combination plates for dinner in the 15 to 17 dollar range included soup, egg roll and dessert. Tea complimentary. Ribs great, hunan beef great, shrimp with lobster sauce good, but with white sauce. Nice waitress and quick removal of dishes. Pleasant!

Very Good Lunch

On a rainy south Florida day my wife and decided to have lunch at a restaurant we had never been. China Lane strikes you as a spacious, clean and safe looking restaurant. We were greeted by a lovely waitress with a long list of lunch specials all for about $10.00.We both started with a delicious wonton soup. Then we had a chicken lo main and a chicken in garlic sauce, mild, both came with vegetable fried rice. Everything was excellent as they say “soup to nuts”. The restaurant is located in a very big strip mall called The Fountains that includes a very nice Publix, UPS, a bagel deli and many other stores we frequent.

Bland and boring Chinese food

Bland and tasteless Chinese food. Wonton soup was one of worst I ever had was like dishwater. Service was efficient and friendly but food was one of the poorest Chinese restaurants in the area. Not going back.

Disappointed not a good first impression

Soup was ok but the food was bland and even though I arrested Szechuan pork there was no spice or heat. Portion size is small No one ever came to on our meal or refill water. Not expecting to go back

Delish Ribs, all else OK

Guess I'm just spoiled by Real Wok on Hypoluxo and Military where every dish is excellent. Service was fine and dinner came with soup ,egg roll and dessert, but nothing was worthy of oos and ahhs.

Disappointing!

Four of us went back to a place we used to frequent often-years ago, but, for various reasons stopped going. There will be a long hiatus before we choose to return! The food was less-than-average, not warm enough, and the service matched. Slow, uninterested, and a bit surly. The place was about 1/3 full, so there was really no excuse for those shortcomings in the service. None of us was at all impressed by our dishes. Why go back? Guess we won't.

Tried it again after a 5 year absence

I've had mixed experiences at this restaurant over the years - an all too common situation at local restaurants - and our recent visits to other Lake Worth/Wellington Chinese places haven't been satisfactory, so here we are at China Lane once again. I think the place has been redecorated; it certainly looks bright, clean, and stylish. My hot and sour soup was just adequate, a big disappointment because to me a really good soup helps define the meal. This preparation seemed quite pedestrian. The egg roll was the poorest I've had in quite some time. My guess is that it isn't made in house. That's forgivable if the provisioner provides quality food, but I can get better egg rolls from the frozen food case at Publix. I don't understand why a restaurant puts out such poor quality. If it turns out that these are made in-house it's time to give this task to an actual chef. Our three entrees were quite good. I had honey boneless ribs which came with julienned carrots, a nice surprise. Delicious. The other entrees in our party of three were a scallop dish and shrimp and lobster sauce. I sampled both of these and found them tasty and fresh. We met neighbors at the next table. They said their food was ok, but not remarkable. We all agreed that our next foray for Chinese food will take us to China Garden in Delray. It's a bit of a drive for us but CG is probably the best around.

Women's Club Luncheon

We were 52 women at our paid up membership luncheon. They went overboard to make this special for all that attended. To begin, they had a special menu with our name, Bonaire Women's Club as well as flowers in the margin. There was an excellent variety of entree's to choose from as well as soup or egg roll, veg fried rice, and ice cream for dessert. They worked with us on a very fair price inc tax and tip . Not only was the food very good; but the service was excellent. I have eaten there many times and was happy that I chose China Lane for our luncheon. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Very dissatisfied with communication

Having just visited there today for take out LUNCH for 4 ended up being $62.00. Omg. No Chinese is worth that much, when I called to discuss with manager I was told that girl at desk gave total and also mentioned that there were no lunch specials on Sunday. That was understood fine. What she failed to mention was that the lunch combos were the Sunday lunch specials...instead when we went to pick up we find that we are charged the combo dinner price, what would have been approx $36 was instead $62.00 with my mother paying was quite a shock for her budget ... they will not be seeing us again

High prices our you kidding ?

Combo meals at $14.95 are a bargain. Soup is good, Egg or spring roll disappointing Entree very good. And good ice ream. Easy parking. So So service. I will keep going back.
