I don’t know where to begin. So I called and asked questions and they were answered so I thank you for that. However, one of the questions was can I see the egg on my French toast and they said yes. However it looks like...buttered bread no egg ant anll. Why can my you just say no if it’s not on there🤦🏾‍♀️ very misleading. And I asked for crispy bacon and I got stiff bacon. Oh and I ordered grits they are filthy all these black husk and things in it. I have to start cooking breakfast at home. No it’s not pepper I didn’t ask for itMore

This is the previous Marsh Road Diner…now the Wilmington Diner. Fully renovated…new seating, clean floors, fresh paint…the entire place has been upgraded. Breakfast was good and staff professional.

Stopped here for a quick bite while out on errands. It's a small diner, but the food is good and not expensive. Don't come for the décor... there isn't any. But it offers bang for your buck, and they have 2 TVs with the news...on most of the time. Service is good but on the slow side; not all the wait staff was slow, though. We will be back, just not when we are in a hurry.More

We generally don't eat in but decided to this morning. I was served cream of wheat instead of grits or they cooked my grits in milk/cream. They were soupy and runny. Our waitress could not careless. My Husband received a meat lovers Omlette instead of...a country Omlette. Trash, debris, and a large dead black bug on the floor by our table. When I brought it to the cashiers attention I was advised it was because there's no bus boy over night. He comes in at 8. That was at 8:22! She rung me up and went and sat down to finish eating with 2 more coworkers. As we left, we found our server outside on her cell smoking a cigarette. We figured that was probably why we had to get up and find her a few minutes earlier in order to get our check.More

Went on a Sunday morning for a brunch, had short stack chocolate chip pancakes + egg + bacon. Service attentive, food good. A little on the expensive side but not outrageous.

My sister-in-law's father loves this place so a bunch of family took him here for his birthday dinner. There were 7 of us but only one of 3 tables so we hoped for quick service since it was about 7 p.m. when we got there....Our waitress came quickly and gave us our menus and took drink orders; which we got quickly. Our food order was a mix of things from the menu: chicken madiera, chicken cordon blue meal, chicken with spinach pasta, chicken cordon blue sandwich, chicken marsala, cheesesteak, seafood pasta. When our food was delivered we found they had forgotten to cook one of the meals, so they got it started right away and brought it out a few minutes later. Most drinks were refilled quickly, but once we had our food our waitress was scarce until she came and asked if we wanted boxes. I'm told: the chicken madiera was tender and tasty but the asparagus was a little woody and wasn't trimmed properly but tasted good. The chicken cordon blue meal was very good, the ham and cheese had good flavor as did the chicken. The pasta with spinach was good but a little bland. The chicken marsala was flavorful with tasty mashed potatoes and gravy. The cheesesteak and fries were both delicious to the point the plate was clean. The seafood and pasta was very good. My meal was the chicken cordon blue sandwich which was huge but very good, the french fries were fresh, hot and crunchy and the coleslaw delicious but such a tiny portion I was left wanting more. All but 2 of us had a dessert included with the meal; the choices were chocolate pudding, rice pudding, ice cream and a few other things. Because the portions were so large everyone was taking the rest of their meals in a doggy bag, so they took dessert to go too. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entree and the sides that made the meal. I would go back to try other things on the menu.More

This is our regular go-to for the munchies -- at any hour of day or night. The selection is excellent, the prices are fantastic, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Portions are generous! Be prepared to take something home in most cases. The...soup selections are great, as are the salad options and the entrees. Their sandwiches are fantastic, and they do offer smaller portion 'mini-meals' that are very reasonably priced and still offer more than enough food for me to usually take something home with me.More

Three times recently I've been forced to eat here due to it being one of the only places around that is open 24/7. You might say I'm a 'local'....But I cleared my head of previous ill's and I tried...I really tried to like this place....3X's.......BUT, this place consistently sucks. Both food and service are subpar. Their fries seem to some sort of industrial experiment and if you can't cook a hamburger at least somewhat to order... and I'm not being nitpic - (I'd take ' somewhat') At this point, I'm trying to find one thing (something?) nice to say ... but I'm blank. The coffee was ok....?More

I had some friends from work telling me that we had to go here for lunch. I pulled into the parking lot and was ready to argue that we should go somewhere else. The place is definitely not much to look at. Once I went...inside I was very surprised by how friendly and attentive the staff was. Food was amazing too. Don't judge a book by its coverMore

on the way to golf and stopped here for breakfast..on the outside, not a great look, on the inside, spacious and the food was great. I had a breakfast burrito and this is the first time in I dont know how long, I could not...finish my breakfast...it was too much. My buddy had scrapple and eggs and he remarked that the scrapple was just right. Service good, prompt and pleasant. One of the places that i would call "crummy but good" that means dont let looks deceive you...go for it...More

Our third time here, and we’ve noted consistent quality. The restaurant is small, and sparsely decorated, with standard booths and table set-up. Clean and casual. Not big on style, but people come here for the food. They have 2 TV’s running, both muted. One channel...is on CNN, with the news ticker going so that I could read the headlines. The other TV is on a sports channel. There are people coming in constantly during our visits there, with no one really waiting more than a few minutes to get seated. They turn their tables quickly. We’ve noticed that this place seems to be pretty popular among the locals, with at least half of the patrons to be seniors. They offer daily specials, which my boyfriend likes to take advantage of and try out their different offerings. Comfort food is their goal. Their large menu offers a nice variety and decent prices. Portions are generous. Everything that we’ve tried has tasted fine, including their burgers and fries, salads, shrimp basket, Cream of Crab soup and stuffed potato skins. On our last visit, we had to take half our meal home, since we couldn’t finish it. We noticed that quite a few people took home their leftovers. Our waitresses have taken our orders quickly, are helpful, and anticipated our needs for refills and a box before we ever asked for a thing. Service is consistently good, and friendly. We’ll be back when we’re in town!More

We eat here about every 9 days. We rotate through breakfast, lunch, dinner, always something good to eat. On Sundays get the waffles, crisp, but flaky in the inside. My favorite is to get it covered with their sausage gravy, Other favorites are the open...face ruben, the fried chicken and the pork. Service is fast, doing special orders they take in stride.More

First time here, and we live locally and wanted good diner food when everything was closed. It had good ratings online so we gave it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. It's small, super-clean and unpretentious with a huge menu. We had breakfast. We...read online that they had great creamed-chip beef and got a side to try - creamy and not salty with lots of meat. My Florentine omelette was clearly made with fresh eggs. My husband loved his banana pancakes. The coffee was freshly made. The waitstaff were great ambassadors. We'll be back to try more of the menu for sure.More
