The hash is just right, perhaps because it is cooked a tad more than at other places where it generally tastes like dog food. The building has character and you can watch the smiling short-order cook at work right in front of you. Poached eggs...More

This is a classic greasy spoon diner. Without question the best home fries I have ever had. Perfect place for a fantastic breakfast experience.

If I were visiting Connecticit from the midwest, I would want to go to Laurel Diner. It's real New England and sooo good. Hash is super. Eggs are fresh. Bacon is crisp. Potatoes are crunchy. Don't miss the cinnamon roll French toast.

Pete holds forth at the grill of this hidden treasure. Perfect corned beef hash for breakfast. Pancakes too. And burgers rise to the occasion if you stop in for lunch. Bring a little cash. Laurel Diner is inexpensive, but takes no credit cards.
