Fantastic meals at average prices. The staff are very friendly and so helpful. Didnt have to wait very long for meals either

I was impressed with the quality of food for a pub. The menu had a great variety of really nice meals, and the food was delicious. I had the seafood risotto, and my husband had the bangers and mash. Our waitress was very friendly and...attentive. We would definitely eat here again.More
Food was average at best. Our credit card was charged three times for $100 more than the bill. When I discovered this the following day and called restaurant several times, the manager was unresponsive until I threatened to call the police. Still unresolved.
Worst service and attitude and will not go back. Bad attitude more than once and nobody seems to care.
My wife and I were in the area and decided to try Black Sheep Irish Pub for lunch. We sat at the bar and had Guinness Stew and Shepard’s Pie, followed by Carrot cake for dessert. The food was excellent! The place was clean and...the service was good. If we’re in the area again we’ll go back. Highly recommend!More
I was looking for a nice meal for takeout, and had seen the restaurant on previous trips but have never eaten there before. When I called, I asked the staff for recommendation, and they suggested the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and spring vegetables and it...was spot on! The food was incredible, price was very reasonable, and I even had enough for a second meal. I didn’t dine in, but when I went in to pick up my food, the dining area was a very quaint pub. There were many people hanging out at the bar, as well as dining at the tables. It was a nice quiet atmosphere. Great place for a drink after work or hanging out with friends or a romantic night out.More
We came here as a sort of pre-wedding family dinner. They accommodated a 10-top for us and gave us two servers. We had a semi-private room and a lot of fun. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
This is a lovely well decorated establishment to dine. Went came here on a Saturday evening, tried to be seated at one of the 4 empty tables outside, they weren't bussed yet, and would not try to accommodate us, so that sat us inside. It...was a good 15 minutes and no one even welcomed us or took our drink orders. Another couple that was seated AFTER us had their attention & was serviced. At this point we decided to go elsewhere. I'm sure there is a shortage of staff how ever the hostess should establish that & a waitress could have easily cleared an outside table. I have been there before & enjoyed the food, and will make an attempt to do so again.More
Kid picked this restaurant at random and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. We planned on having leftover potato crisps with scallions and crumbled bleu cheese to take home - nope, they got demolished. The French onion soup and the bangers and mash were so good,...we wished we could have eaten here more than once. We'll be back next time we're in the area. Highly recommended.More
Stopped by for drinks after the beach. What a disappointment! The Espresso Martini was simply Kahlua dumped on chipped ice, sickly sweet. The Sam Adams was completely flat, cloudy and warm. The Classic Mojito was almost purely cane sugar syrup and no discernible rum. Table...was filthy. Place is run by a gaggle of high school girls who don’t have any knowledge of the menu. No prices on drinks menu. The Black Sheep is well named. We did not have food so possibly that is its saving grace. However, I don’t want to risk finding out. Absolutely dreadful.More
very loud ,srver very disorganized, table sticky and uclesn, food took forever and was dry and tasteless
I came to Niantic to visit an old room mate. He suggested the Black Sheep. We had a great lunch - Shephard’s Pie and Club sandwich. The waitresses were great and friendly, the decor is classic pub. Prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back...on my next trip to Niantic!More
At the advice from fellow vacationers in the area we went for lunch. Seeing it packed we were hoping this to be a sign of quality, but alas… the food was not bad but nothing exciting. Staff very courteous, good service at a high volume...time, and in the absence of knowing the other restaurants I would not avoid returning to Black Sheep but we are looking forward to exploring the other dining options.More
The Black Sheep is one of those places that is not bad or overwhelmingly good. The atmosphere was not particularly festive given that we visited at Christmastime. Our meal consisted of an underdressed wedge salad, adequate corned beef sandwich, and strangely presented steak frits. The...steak was ok, but it was piled on a bed of dried french fries and overcooked onions in a purported garlic sauce. The service was overall good. I am not saying that our experience was bad, but just don't expect much from the Black Sheep.More
There where four of us we went on a Friday night and were seated right away. The server came over promptly introduced herself and took the drink order. When she returned she took our food order which came out quickly and accurately. The atmosphere was...lively and fun. I would highly recommend this place.More
