One of our favorite spots in New Haven. Love the falafel and salads. Great lamb. Homemade soups are fantastic. A low key place where you can relax and spend time me lingering over dessert!

I've always liked their food, but this time was a little underwhelming. The wait for takeout at 9:30 on a Friday night was over 10 minutes, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. I've been there before with the same level of crowd when the service was faster. The falafel platter was OK, but nothing special.

I am new to New Haven and was having a severe craving for Falafel. I asked a coworker who has lived here their entire life (50+ years) and they mentioned Mamouns and just for a second opinion I asked a roommate whose been here half that time and he agreed tat I needed to go to mamouns. I went around... More

Was on a college visit with my son and had 30 minutes to kill around lunch. Went there and ordered to go. While the facility does not look that great or inviting, the meal was really good.

A small place, no fancy trimmings, just good food with decent service. Seems to be always quite crowded, probably, because of its proximity to the Yale university and the student community. An ideal place if you want quick, cheap and decent food ! We tried the Lamb Shawarma, Falafel and a couple of vegetarian dishes too. All of them were... More

Yummy falafels and one of the best cheap eats in New Haven... if you like spicy - try their hot sauce - but maybe get it on the side - as it packs some super serious heat!

This is an old school New Haven institution. Great for vegetarians who like baba ganoush and hummus as well as falafel. The place is dark with little attention to decor but the food is a solid B+ and the bill was less than $15 for two. They do offer some meat dishes and the deserts looked great. If you are... More

Mamoun's is one of my favorite restaurants in New Haven, and my favorite place anywhere to get falafel. The food is always terrific and it's open late. This stop is usually a must for me when I'm in town.

There is a reason why this place has been existing for so many years. Also they are open when all the bars are closing, the perfect sober up food since they don't offer any alcoholic beverages. Being a musician it was always a pleasure to get something to eat after a gig having burned so many calories, every time Mamoun's... More
