Really enjoyed our visit to Barcelona. Cocktails were fresh and tapas were delicious. Large variety, good service and affordable. Was a bit noisy. We would definitely go back. We had mussels, calamari, Brussels sprouts, olives, anchovies, eggplant, potato tortilla and octopus.

Food is amazing! The potato tortilla so simple but leaves you wanting more. The cauliflower with pesto is simply amazing savory yet sweet. Barcelona is a must when in New Haven!

I visited Barcelona as a solo on 3 Oct 2017. I had a great experience. Finding the place is almost impossible as there are no signs outside. The trick is to to head for the 'Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale' and head for the...More

The restaurant is aimed at giving you the experience of a Spanish restaurant. Not quite the same as the real thing, where they would want to give you the experience of good, well prepared food. There’s an impressive wine list with plenty of good Spanish...More

We were told that this was the only place for food after a show we went to at the Shubert Theater. It is a bit hard to find because there is no sign on the door. It was dark and lively when we got there...More

This place is a really nice, and has a completely different feel than most bars in the crown and temple area. Drinks are excellent. I've had the food, it's good, but a little pricey for what it is.

Nice atmosphere. We find it ok by using Google maps. A bit daunting when you see all the items on the menu but the waitresses was very helpful and made some great suggestions. We had plenty to eat and the quality was excellent. The dishes...More

They've got tasty tapas galore and it's one of my favorite fitstyle locations because of the seating options, which allow you to stand! Their small plates are great for sharing and I highly recommend the high top table seating in the bar area, which has...More

Not as far as I know. From what I saw, I would very much doubt that the kitchen is kosher. Call them and ask.

Description
Barcelona New Haven opened in 2006 and is our largest restaurant in CT. Winner of the New Haven Advocate's "Best New Restaurant" and "Best Wine List," Barcelona is located next to the Omni Hotel in downtown New Haven just steps from Yale University. Here we have combined some of our favorite elements in a single location. A street level lounge overlooks a dining bar area with a stone fireplace. The sophisticated glass-and-steel dining room is framed by a 2000-bottle refrigerated wine cellar. The dramatic 80-seat private room is dominated by a larger than life, wall to wall, 30-foot mural of a Spanish bullfighter, and a 20-person chef's table, fashioned from a single walnut tree, borders the busy open kitchen.
