Great food and ambiance, there's always space even if it seems packed. We love the variety of pastries as well. The quality is great and the service is consistently good. We're locals and go at least once a month.
I have wanted to eat at the First and Last Tavern in Hartford ever since I dined at their satellite establishment near Bristol. My group decided to eat there this past Sunday, and then when we overshot the entrance to the tavern and found ourselves...More
Good baked goods. Good egg dishes. Good coffee. Friendly smiles on the staff. (I had to ask for one thing they'd forgotten to deliver to the table, but it was served super quickly after that.) Order at the counter and it's delivered to your table....More
Saw this when we went to first and last tavern so we came back for breakfast. Had an egg, cheese, bacon, on Kaiser roll and it did not disappoint. I like how you go up to the counter to order your food. Would definitely go back...More
We were in the Hartford area and looking for a breakfast place off the beaten path.

After struggling to get established, this cafe had emerged as a hot spot for greater Hartford. All pastries are prepared in the French tradition, a meal in themselves. The breakfasts come with a full plate, tasty toast and special muffin/or other treat. Coffee is self...More
Located across the street from the First and Last restaurant, this bakery is top notch. We selected a loaf of raisin bread and it was just delicious. Watching the carbs, but I could have purchase much more if that was not the case.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Breakfast has the thumps up from me. Parking can be tight when busy but park on the street it will be worth it. The pastries will make you close your eyes and take a deep breath!
