Terrific veggie burger with pesto. The crab soup was very good and the chicken sandwich was tasty. Our waitress was very accommodating as was the owner. Unfortunately the waiter had an issue when we arrived and asked not to be seated next to the door...More

I remain impressed with Abby's Went for lunch and every meal is perfectly prepared and is excellent. Always. Servings were large and service was very pleasant and professional.

We finally had a nice, sunny Saturday. I decided to walk In downtown Essex. It was lunch time, and I gave myself 2 choices: Olive Oyl’s or Abby’s Place, I picked Abby’s Place and made the wrong choice. When I arrived around noon there wasn’t...More

Abby's has been a favorite with us in the past. On this last visit we found the place less than clean. The bathroom overdue for steam and Clorox. Service was a might slow, but that is not new. French toast as good as ever. Good...More

Very friendly staff and great food. Nice atmosphere too. All the food coming out looked fantastic. I want to try their fish sandwich and their burger. Both looked like a meal, not a sandwich! The onion rings looked good too.

Driving around in the morning and decided to pick a new breakfast spot. Small tucked away place on the water. The eggs, sausage, toast and homefries and coffee was delish. The only downside is the 1 bathroom but it was very clean. Definitely going back.

Hi Wendy E - you posed your question on the tripadvisor website not Abby's Place website- you may want to call them directly..I remember the food was delicious but I can't recall if anything on the menu was gluten free..

Description
Casual waterfront dining located in the Brewer's Dauntless Shipyard. A bit hard to find but defintely worth the effort. Abby's Place serves American cuisine with a flair, specializing in fresh, locally sourced meats and seafood.
