Elaborate menu of classic Indian dishes. They have a lunch special as well. Seemed this place is quite popular among locals. Worth a shot.

My family has always enjoy.ed the buffet and sorry it was eliminated during Covid Hope it gets back soon '
This is a great place to order a lot of food and bring home for an event or celebration, but the lunch buffet is nice too if you want to eat out.
I went to pick up our dinner a few months ago and instead of a normal greeting the waiter/host immediately said "Uber?". I'm not too sure there are many UberEat drivers wearing medical scrubs, and I was a bit too naive to recognize the subtle...racism here. I corrected him with my name and reason for coming in, etc. My husband, who is white, went for pick up another evening and received a normal/expected greeting when entering. Well last night I went instead. Immediately the host/waiter says, "Ubereats?!". Now let me not assume, just as this staff has done on these occassions, but I'm not too sure many Ubereat drivers are delivering food wearing a Ralph Lauren polo and Vineyard Vine flops. Pretty stereotypical Fairfield look, all except, I am a black male. Another customer wrote a similar experience a year or two ago. Management needs to train their staff that non-whites can afford to live in Darien/New Canaan and not be solely UberEat drivers.More
No thank you. If you are Black do not patronize this business or location. When I walked in, it's assumed that I am there for UberEats. (Thin guy, black hair, blue shirt) When asked, I simply replied "No, actually". Emphasis on the "actually" because actually,...black people eat indian food. Actually, Black people can afford indian food. Actually, Black people live in Darien or around the area. This is not the first time that this has been done either. It's the subtle racism that gets you a bad review. Also, if you're going to be racist, at the very least, have my food ready. I was told 25 mins, so I came there at 30 mins. While waiting for my late food, I noticed that none of the white people who entered were asked if they were there for UberEats. I wonder why? The kicker: The food wasn't even good. Maybe there was too much racism in the sauce. Despite the rude assumption by this staff member, I remained cordial. I will spend my money elsewhere. I will be contacting more people about my experience.More

I love 💕 India 🇮🇳 and the good ., This place is the closet to anything I have eaten ...the buffet is not only great to introduce you to the many dishes and regions but the flavors of these exotic spices ... My husband is...fussy but I wanted him to at least try .. which he did .. he was surprised what he like .. you can get s nice glass of wine or Indian smoothie they have a little salad bar and all the dressing and sauces .. like chutney and coconut.. spiced onion and mint and cilantro .. on and on ... 2 different types of basmati rice and then the best lentils and veggies dishes and always 2 simmered meat or chicken especially love the tandoor chicken they bring to the table .. don’t miss out enchanted inside the painted murals ...More
The last several times we've eaten at Coromandel, we noticed something changed. The sauces seem sweeter, blander, less flavorful. It's disappointing because we live nearby and this used to be our go-to Indian restaurant. We'd often order takeout when we didn't go in person. Now,...I'm looking for another go-to Indian restaurant in the area.More
