This deli is apparently famous for its ice cream, but we had sandwiches instead. We were staying in a Vail timeshare, and had just enjoyed a fabulous lunch elsewhere, when we discovered Joe's Deli. We decided did not want ice cream, instead deciding to order custom-made sandwiches and takes them with us as we continued shopping and touring Vail. This... More

Tasty egg sandwich and waffles! Good option for breakfast and gelato - easy access in Vail near covered bridge.

Joe's Famous Deli has THE BEST breakfast, sandwiches, and of course ICE CREAM. We stayed in Vail for several days in July and we ate at Joe's at least one time per day. DELICIOUS!!

Wish we had more time to sample some of their other offerings. Just had the ice cream, homemade and billed as "voted best in Vail". Being something of an ice cream snob, I have to say this was certainly one of the creamiest, tastiest flavors I ever had.

We enjoyed our meals and would highly recommend this place for a great sandwich or breakfast. It was not overpriced.

Ice cream was average, it tasted watery, Rocky Mountain is better! Was not the best ice cream I had but still edible and good enough

Joe's is hidden under a shop but worth finding. We happened across it in Vail and had a great lunch. Our sandwiches were great and the price was reasonable. And they have several flavors of ice cream for dessert!

Try the Deli Vegetarian sandwich. It has tomatoes, avocado, mozzarella, and pesto on French bread. It is big enough to split. Currently they are running a special buy a sandwich get a free cup of ice cream. There are a variety of flavors key lime, Oreo Carmel, mango, birthday cake and more.

This place is a little hidden so if you don't look for it you may miss it! We stopped to have ice cream there and I guess we weren't the only people who knew about it because people were lining up for their ice cream!
