We had a fantastic lunch here. The flavors and aromas were just delightful. Enjoyed the ambiance as well. Servers were very friendly and accommodating.

As lunch approaches, there are two choices for skiers in Vail. Eat a mediocre expensive meal in one of the crowded mountain restaurants or ski down to the village and, for roughly the same cost, indulge in a meal and glass of wine with friendly service. Last week, we took the latter option and may never eat on the mountain... More

Ate here for lunch after being unable to get a reservation for dinner. Ordered the chicken salad, Tacos and burger. Everything was so flavorful and scrumptious! Food had a lightness to it . Service was attentive. We were not disappointed. The hype is real.

We had high expectations based on other reviews we had read. However, the food was simply average in my opinion.

Consistently welcoming; a well-trained staff; an impressive wine list; a fairly sophisticated but somewhat forgettable décor; but in our opinion, over-rated. If flavorful food is your priority, and you are not seeking the most ballyhooed restaurant in Vail, we recommend Alpenrose; La Bottega; La Tour; The Left Bank, and, surprisingly, Bōl.

Reserved a spot at Sweet Basil for lunch on a Sunday via Open Table. Reservations were for 12:15. By 1pm the place was full and I can tell you why! We started off our lunch with French pressed coffee and decided to order an appetizer as well. We settled on the goat chees bruschetta which was super good. It comes... More

We have been going to Sweet Basil for many years, it is a must stop when we are in Vail. As always the food was excellent and the service as well. The menu changes keeping some outstanding mainstays but is always freshened with new tastes the chef wants you to experiment. Wow!

Food was great. Place was very crowded but it is to be expected in high ski season. This is a place I would return to next visit to Vail. Lots of places are overpriced in Vail but this one was actually worth it. Yum!

Went to Sweet Basil on a Friday night without a reservation, and got lucky and got two seats at the bar. Everything we ordered was amazing. We got the pork loin, which was outstanding. Highly recommend.

We had dinner one night during our trip to Vail. Place is in the Vail village. Easy access. Close parking. Clean, good ambiance and service was very good. Server was attentive to our needs. Very good food selection. We had oysters and butternut pasta dish, both were first class. We also had salmon and fig tortellini, which were also very good.... More
