A beautiful restaurant with great service. My only criticism would be the wine list. Although extensive, there should really have been a house wine, or something under $100! I enjoy a good wine, but most were way too heavy for my taste. (My husband and the other man in the party enjoyed a St Emillion.) I don't like to pay... More

Stellar meal. All four of us ordered the pepper steak - all done differently - and all four pepper steaks arrived with exactly the subtle variations we requested. One of our crew had been here a few years back and he raved about the pepper steak with so much enthusiasm that we all decided to order it. Good choice. The... More

We walked in off the street and found, much to our surprise a truly world class restaurant. The bouillabaisse seafood dish was as good as one will find on any coast. The veal was equally exquisite. Highly recommend.

My husband and I hadn't eaten at The Left Bank for at least 10 years. We now know that we had made a mistake by skipping it during all those prior ski trips. This week, we had a fantastic fine dining experience at this most outstanding of Vail's numerous French restaurants. My duck a l'orange and my husband's fish entree... More

We enjoyed our meal so much last year, that we decided to come again during our usual ski week in Vail. Honestly, it was the best meal we had in Vail - and we ate at some really nice places this week. Our server, Ashley T - who was from Asheville,NC was so very nice, friendly and helpful - not... We had a reservation for 10 made through our condo concierge in Vail several weeks in advance. We called the day before to reduce the reservation to 7. Turns out a Private Party rented the restaurant for the night - no reservation, no notice. Imagine if we had showed up with 7 people and no reservation. Not easy to get... More

I'm sorry we dropped the ball notifying you of the party. We'll always do our best to keep an open line between us and our guests, but that can be challenging with reservations made by a third party. Even still, we're happy to make it up to you when we slip -- it's a shame we couldn't convince you of... More

The decor's been updated with great chairs and glass ceiling ornaments, to uneven effect - the chandeliers are too busy, the tables too close together, the neon strip in the wine room distracting/ill-conceived. The food is good, but not spectacular; our beleaguered waiter seemed perplexed by my request that the salmon be 'just cooked all the way through', saying that... More

It's a shame our salmon wasn't the best you've ever had. Regardless of desired cook time, we usually have no problem preparing all our fish exactly as our guests prefer. We'll work harder to impress you more with our food and service next time. - Jean-Michel, Owner More

We were on our way to another restaurant and actually stumbled across a small sign for the rear entrance and wondered what the menu was. We almost turned away due to lots of boxes on the stairs of the unremarkable backside. Aren't we glad we forged ahead. PHENOMENAL food, great service from "Beau." We started our meal with the most... Had the french onion soup and the elk chops. The soup was more traditional than the usual american style of over use of cheese. Very nice it was. The elk chops were a little tough in places but overall it was nice.

This place has an elegant, yet comfy, ambiance. It's quiet and subdued. Our table was at the windows overlooking a creek. The cocktails were well made, the wine by the glass was quite good, the food excellent. The service excellent. I appreciated that the dinner entrees came with a salad before, and some little delicious cookies were served after dinner.... More
