The environment was super nice. We went in december and most of the other businesses in town were closed up for the season. This place had enough christmas cheer for all of them tho. Food was good and the service was awesome.

Suggest you get there before the train people get off the train because if you don't the wait will be long! Get there before and all goes well. Good lunch, nothing miraculous but your in a tourist town so good, is good.

Great food, great people and superb service. A great place to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner! We were served immediately upon arrival, seated and drinks were served straightaway.

We were early for our snowmobile tour so we stopped in to have breakfast. Great food at a great price. Friendly staff and a cool historic building.

Lovely old building, great lunch, friendly staff in a quaint small town. We found the restaurant to be the only business open during our visit to Silverton, thank goodness as they were awesome.

Hot and fresh food for weary travelers. Great service, clean atmosphere and cute decorations. I had the chili, it came with a cornbread muffin. I asked for butter since it wasn't plated with the muffin.

Delicious blueberry pancakes. The staff kept refilling our coffee. Staff were friendly and attentive. The old tin ceiling and molding was neat. All the quilted fall and Halloween themed tapestries hung all around the restaurant were beautiful.

After traveling 3 1/2 hours on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, after viewing some of the most beautiful scenery you've ever seen, my wife and I arrived in Silverton prepared for a 2 1/2-hour layover before boarding the train for the return trip to Durango. What to do? This historic old mining town has only 500 year-round residents.... More

We had lunch in Silverton. This restaurant was recommended by a local. My wife and I each had sandwiches, which were good. I had a Ruben and soup. Both were good. Would definitely return if we venture back to Silverton.

Just cause you work at a place called the Brown Bear Cafe, doesn't mean u have to be a BEAR!! Service was horrible....... My son and I rode my Harley my daughter in law and grandkids followed. Went to lunch at this place and couldn't have asked for any worst treatment. Here we are paying for a over rated meal... More
