The bagel sandwich i got was burnt. We were in a hurry so I didn't complain. Uncomfortable chairs, wobbly table.

Gluten free options for the hubs. Delicious food and coffee. Good service. Usually a wait to order because they are so popular. Worth the wait. Takes a bit to get your food out because it's not all premade. Plan on spending $25 for 2 to...More

Went to most of the coffee shops, and this was the best one we visited. Went back 3 times. Great coffee, coffee drinks. Also had very good breakfast, especially the burritos-and I'm a breakfast burrow snob!

A lot of coffee shops have iffy food. This place has excellent food, and a solid variety, which is not exactly apparent from their website. We visited twice during our week stay and found the spinach quiche excellent, as well as the sandwiches. The oatmeal...More

Description
As the town's longest running coffee house, Higher Grounds was established in 2004 with the goal of bringing the country's then-emerging craft coffee scene to the quaint mountain community of Pagosa Springs. Exclusively serving organic fair trade coffee, fresh in-house baked goods, and a curated selection of local beers & spirits, we continually strive to be THE destination for both locals and visitors.
