I've stopped by here 5 times, and only once been served. Usually there are people in back, talking and laughing, but nobody at the counter! Even when I've called out, nobody came up to take my order. The one time they did, I got sandwiches...More

First, my travel friend and I are 70-year-old women from Minnesota. Keep that in mind. We went to the Backstreet Bistro for breakfast. When my order came, the server set my plate down and left too quickly for me to protest that my eggs were...More

Nice breakfast stop for take-out or dine in. A basic menu but food was good and prompt. Some very hearty breakfasts.

Had good coffee, but the pastries were burnt on the back, had them check the others and they were all burnt. Went back the next day, and the pastries were burnt again.

I travel to Durango monthly and I ALWAYS get a chai before going over the pass. This is the BEST I have ever had. You would not regret going there plus they have fabulous pastries and food.

We had good, generous sandwiches. It's small inside. I could see how it could get crowded... we arrived at 11:45 on a Friday and it filled up. The breakfast menu looked more interesting/varied than the lunch menu, and I would have liked the heuvos rancheros,...More

We had lunch here. Small, but excellent selection of sandwiches. We each had the half sub with turkey, cranberry, and Swiss cheese.

This place has really changed over the years and now has a crowded, rushed and cranky vibe. The food is okay at best, but the service is just awful. One day my coffee cost $1.89 and the next day it was $2.35. The women at...More
