Good diner atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. Ate with 4 adults and 2 small children--everyone's food was very good except my steak sandwich--presented well, good bread, mushrooms, peppers, but the meat was too tough to be in a sandwich--too tough to even bite a piece off!

Thank you for stopping at the Diner and I appreciate your feedback on the steak sandwich. We use a tri tip steak that is slow roasted, so I will review our procedures to provide a better steak for our customers. Thank for your review More

I have been to the diner several times. They were way off today. Slow service, took forever to place order. Food didn't come and didn't come. They finally brought the toast. 10+ minutes later breakfast came. The chicken fried steak was just shy of burnt, to go with the stone cold toast. The eggs were done correctly and the gravy... More

We love the New Castle Diner's atmosphere, especially for weekday lunches or weekend breakfast/brunch. Great tasting food with specialty ketchup and mustard available if that's to your liking. The 50's theme and music is fun and the staff always provides attentive customer service. The "chefs" are always putting out tasty food that satisfies and we leave with our bellies full.... More

Our first visit there and as impromptu as it was, looking forward to more visits. Great food, (had a chili dog..., a damned big chili dog!), cold beer and the tunes were incredible. Just like the old malt shop days! The hour was near closing time, but the girls were super about taking care of us, and we never felt... More

The diner was adorable and the waitress was attentive and friendly. We both ordered meatloaf, salad and mashed potatoes. The salad was the only part of our dinner that was good. Everything else was awful because there was a funny taste that permitted the meat, potato and vegetable. How does that even happen? Sadly we won't try it again.

Great local gem just off the interstate. It was obvious that the local like this place. The waitress said about 80% of the diners around us were locals. I had an egg sandwich with bacon on sourdough. It was a vey good breakfast sandwich. The egg was cook (over easy) just the way I wanted. It was a rather large... More

Good food, friendly service though a bit slow, and enjoyable 1950's decor. Close to our motel (we walked over) and to a grocery store.

We were on vacation in New Castle and enjoyed this dinner. It became our go to whenever we were hungry for great homestyle food. I really liked the tuna sanwiches. I am sad I never got to try the pies. My sandwiches were so filling-no room left
