Stopped in for lunch today after a trip up Mt. Evans. Great atmosphere had the Pale Ale and Kolsch. Both were great. We had the cheese fries with Green Chile and the Buffalo Nachos. Those were very nice.

We stopped by ISprings on our way to our home on the Western Slope from traffic-crazy Denver and thoroughly enjoyed what for us was a new find. There are now a number of interesting places to eat in this small, old and authentic western mining...More

Very modern décor on the inside. Just had some thing to drink. Mike our server recommended "Don't Hassle the Hef". A wonderful Hefeweizen Beer. Also the "Modern Mountain Pale Ale". Very Good. Wife had a nice Malbec. Nice stop on the main drag.

A restaurant/brewery with excellent food, big screen TVs, a large bar, and communal tables. Our waitress, Raven, was beautiful and wonderful. She made sure we had everything we needed and made excellent recommendations. I had the angus burger with no bun and added a fried...More

A great stopover going from Denver to the mountains ( skiing or anytime). The large selection of craft beers would satisfy all tastes especially the IPAs. We had the fried chicken sandwich and chicken ceasar salad, both substantial and cooked perfectly. The chicken was moist...More

We made the mistake of eating on the hipster side of the restaurant. We didn't know. The place is set up with "traditional" dining on one side and a more "contemporary" set up on the other side. The contemporary side is communal tables for hanging...More

The buffalo burger was good per the teens I was accompanying but my rib sandwich was uneatable and the slaw was not much better. We have always stopped here on our way up the mt. but NO more. The sandwich was that bad and you...More

This seems to be very different style compared to other restaurants in Idaho springs looks much more of a modern setup. The food was good and it was busy when we got there at 3pm , we still had to wait for 20 minutes for...More

We had a tasty lunch on our way down from the mountains. Westbound & Down offered a good selection of craft brews and I enjoyed my buffalo chicken sandwich. Friendly staff and a good location were also pros.

Description
Named "Best Brewery Restaurant" by Westword in 2017. Westbound & Down Brewing Company is made of a dynamic team working to provide our community with exceptional service and distinct sophisticated beers. Brewing beer is an art. Each element leads the unique and layered taste of our beers. But that said, we really just want to make good beer and keep the process approachable. Here are a few things that we do to in hopes to make a beer you love. Our beers are non-filtered, relying on the natural process of fermentation to clarify and enhance the flavor. Carbonating stones are used to produce the bubbles, but this is carefully monitored to allow the beer to retain its intended character. Each craft brew will be served in a specifically chosen vessel to further enhance flavor and drinking experience.
