Wonderful rooms, and usually pretty good food. Sometimes the food is outstanding, but they seem to get different chefs each year. You need to stay here! Super relaxing and great views.

Summer weekday lunch. Not at all crowded. We enjoyed the hearty burgers and fries. Good but nothing special. Service was attentive. Ask for a table next to the large windows so you can get the great view of the town and lake below. We'll return...More
Drove up to the Grand Lake Lodge restaurant for dessert at sunset and we weren't disappointed! A beautiful way to end the day and the desserts were very good. Although not cheap, it's a worth the treat! Great photo opportunities as well!
Had a wonderful table overlooking village of Grand Lake from and enclosed balcony. Service was very good and food was pretty good -- better than most we had in Grand Lake, but not exceptional. After dinner, enjoyed relaxing by the huge indoor fireplace.
good food, reasonable prices....but the view is beyond compare. they need to improve staffing to improve service, but -- so long as you have the time -- have a glass of your favorite beverage and just enjoy your surroundings.
The staff just doesn't seem to care very much about creating a the wonderful experience that is possible in that fine historic place with the most beautiful views.

We did not stay at the lodge. We drove over from Estes Park to have lunch at the Grand Lake Lodge restaurant and to visit Grand Lake; and then return to Estes Park. They only had the restaurant area open that overlooked the lake. We...More
