Had a lovely server and a perfectly good sushi meal. No reason I wouldn’t go back. We had good cocktails, sake and beer; seaweed salad, nigiri and rolls. All good.

Randomly stopped here for lunch while passing through on our way to Snowmass from Boulder. We were pleasantly surprised by how good/fresh the sushi was. Staff was happy and the place, while a bit tired, has a good vibe. Will happily repeat.

Sat at the sushi bar after an afternoon of skiing. The chefs were friendly, everything they were preparing looked delicious and the rolls and other dishes were ample. The shooters were absolutely delicious. There were large chunks of fish in our rolls and the soup...and other dishes were rich. Having tried many of the standard rolls, I would definitely return to try their poke and other dishes I saw being prepared after we had already put in our order. Next time!More

Really surprised how fresh the sushi tasted. Expectations are tempered being in the mountains and far from anywhere where fresh fish would likely be caught. Also loved the seaweed salad. Will definitely eat Kemosabe again.

Returned to Kemosabe after several years and found the service by Caz, an aussie girl, to be great & her recommendations for the speciality rolls were spot. Will be back for sure next week for a second serve.

Great sushi, great atmosphere and staff. Sit at the bar and watch your meal being prepared by experts. Limited table seating and very popular with the locals so go early and be patient.

Glad to have found this place. Something about skiing makes me crave sushi and the keystone, Dillon, copper area always seemed to lack the great sushi restaurants most ski resorts have. Not anymore. This place is really good. It also has a flexibility that most...sushi places don’t have. they have a sister bar/grill restaurant next door and I guess share a kitchen so my non sushi liking daughter could order what she wanted and stayed happy. I ordered mostly sashimi, the tuna and salmon were very nicely done. I did not order miso soup but my family said it was best they had ever had. We got there early enough for a happy hour one of the items I have I have never seen was a jalapeño popper wrapped in tuna it was excellent. Other daughter ordered California roll and really enjoyed it. I had a spicy tuna roll that was spicy with just the peppers versus a bunch of mayonnaise which is much healthier and I really liked that style. I would’ve given it a five but the bill was a little higher than I would expect, part of that was on me because I was starving over ordered. but honestly there’s not a sushi restaurant to touch it on that side of the Vail pass, I have spent at least 40 nights in my life in Summit County at various ski resorts and I’ve never had a good sushi meal there before this one, Breckenridge has one place that is mediocre at best but this place is really solid. I’ll definitely be returning there every time I come back to the areaMore

Ws pleasantly surprised by everything involved. Food, service, ambience and price. Sushi has become very popular so it's not TOO hard to find decent sushi. Service was bar none at the sushi bar. Sushi was excellent and enjoyed the atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

Kemosabe shares a kitchen with Silverheels next door. You can have an authentic Japanese meal and also order from Silverheels with their delicious beef dishes and seafood.

Happy with everything that they have on their menu - the jalapeno shooters are really good! If you can get in during happy hour, that is an extra bonus. Fish is fresh and the staff is friendly - worth the wait!

I stopped by on 08/03 and used the entrance between Kemosabe and Silver Heels. I peeked my head around the corner, saw two guys behind the sushi bar and asked, “Are you serving yet”? Now, granted, I misspoke. I didn’t know what time it was...and was wondering if I should wait until they started serving or find a different place to eat. One guy behind the counter yells, “If we were open we would’ve unlocked the front door”! I thought such a snarky, rude comment was unwarranted and turned to walk away when this guy, very loudly, proclaimed “Ugh, I thought that was a man”! Are you kidding me?!? You not only reply to an innocent question with an unnecessarily snarky remark but you follow it up with a verbal attack?!? All this guy had to do was yell, “20 minutes” but instead acted the coward and attacked a lone female. The owners need to know that this is how their sushi counter employees are treating potential customers.More

wow, stuffed to the gills(ha ha) with great plates os sushi. I don't know what all I ate but each bite was fantastic. We ordered about 10-12 different types of seafood here and each was a delight. Come prepared to eat but be prepared when...you get the bill, all this great food can add up. Highly recommend this place.More
