Having walked around the Normandy Road/Mt. Eden area for over an hour looking for a sit-down restaurant which actually honored their online and posted hours, we came upon the Wok'n Noodle Restaurant at 9:45PM. We were advised that their kitchen would close at 10PM (per...their posted hours at the door) but that they would be pleased to serve us. Although there was only one table still occupied in the restaurant and the kitchen staff was clearly cleaning up, they were not only accommodating but extremely friendly and professional. Our dinner of Pad Thai, Tom Yum Stir-Fried Tofu and Ginger Beef was quite tasty. With a casual dining setting, reasonable pricing and good food, unlike their competitors both across the road and up the hill, Wok'n Noodle proved that they were a cut above and delivered exactly as they publicly promise.More

Love it. Tempting to go there for lunch every work day but that would not be a good thing for my wallet or in the interests of having a balanced diet.

I had previously reviewed this place stating how fantastic their pad see ew dish is however I had been appalled with how rude they are to loyal customers. I had a few occasions where we waited up words of an hour in the mount eden...place and the staff served various people before us. A few times our dishes were extremely oily to the point that it was inedible. I decided after visiting almost every week for a year I would write to them and let them know, but they completely ignored my messege and were incredibly rude on the phone. I think this place will continue to lose loyal customers unless they take a serious look at how they treat customers and deal with complaints.More

We’ve had noodles from here a few times and they are fresh and delicious. However, not happy tonight. Having ordered ‘lightly spicy’ the noodles were anything but when we got them home with at least 1 whole red chilli chopped through. On asking for a...replacement I was told I’d need to pick them up myself AND if that wasn’t enough of an irritation the too spicy noodles were to be scraped off my plate, back in the box and returned, really!!?More

Wok n Noodle is definitely a regular for us! Love the sheer variety of their dishes and the fact that pretty much everything can be made vegetarian (not just the ones on the veggie menu =)). The meals are very well priced and great portion...sizes - there's usually enough for lunch the next day.More

The thick egg noodles are great and the portion sizes are generous. Vegetables taste fresh and service is prompt. My only disappointment is how sweet the food tastes - both mine and my husband's. When we asked about the sweetness of our meals we were...told to ask for less sugar next time. I think "healthy" it's not.More

Grabbed a bite at Wok'n Noodle, which was an easy walk from my hostel in Mt. Eden. The portion was a good size, as I had leftovers to take home despite my healthy appetite. Wish they didn't use polystyrene takeaway boxes!!!!! Think of the environment,...Wok'n Noodle. Polystyrene is SOOO 1990.More

Stopped by for takeaway since I was close by and always wanted to try it. The place was fairly full for a Wednesday, which was a good sign. Ordered three mains and an entree and it came to around $50. it didn't take too long...to get the food and I quite like the fact they were using paper and recyclable plastic containers. Wasn't a fan of the fish cakes but the Massaman curry was quite nice. Wasn't too impressed with the pad thai but the duck noodles were alright. Friendly service and good quality cheap meals.More

This wee place was recommended by a friend On arrival it was already packed by 6pm We just got in on time to get the last table inside We placed our orders and were told to order entree and mains together as it was busy...and would take time to come out separately We enjoyed the meal and quantity chicken sukyaki was quite nice and tasty Didn't think much of the entree Service was ok but at one stage the waitress got frustrated when we asked for small plate as there was no room on the table . Love this place, always fresh and tasty, lots of veges. They are very accommodating for dietary requirements, I love the low carb and carb free options. Try the nasi goreng, whiskey duck or crispy pork belly stirfry. You won't be disappointed! Busy little place but...very fast- after many years of coming here I've only had a long wait there once (over 30 Min) on an extremely busy Saturday night.More

Delicious, tasty food. Good sized portions, served quickly. Buzzy little place that has dine in and takeaways. We shared four dishes between four of us. I could have licked the plates! I'll definitely be back! It is small, busy and seating is on stools. So...don't come expecting a long, quiet or romantic dinner - this isn't the place for that! This was one of our favourite casual places when we lived in Auckland. After being away for five years we were greeted warmly by the owner who remembered us. He is one of the main reasons we return there. Now he feeds our grand kids...with takeaways and they devour the noodles as this is the best takeout they know. The dishes are always well balanced and delicious. Our happy place.More
