Everyone always seems to be happy at Sato, customers and employees. Why not? Excellent variety and presentation of sushi, good entrees and good service. The layout and decor of the restaurant is warm and lively. If I could afford it, I'd go once per week!

Tasty sushi! Yummy soup! Definitely try the dynamite shrimp appetizer. My recommendation is to stick with the basic sushi roles, the weird ones weren't my favorite. Moderately pricy.

Sato' is one of my favorite restaurants in the Vail Valley. There's always a very welcoming and enjoyable vibe. The staff is always great. The sushi's as good as it gets, and really like some of their unique beers.

So pleased we found this place having been traveling all day. Great choice of food. with a wide variety to suit mist palates. Soups and salads, Japanese and steak, fish etc. The chicken and cashew lettuce wraps were delicious. Wound definitely recommend you go if you are in the area.

I am always a bit hesitant to try sushi in a restaurant I know nothing about. Being in the middle of the Rockies you may think fresh sushi is not possible. However, having been to Sato's many times I can easily say they have consistently fresh & delicious sushi. Can't comment on other entrees because we only get sushi! Service... More

Solid Sushi and cooked dishes. Service is good and the owners have garnished local respect and following for many years.

Our favorite sushi restaurant in the Vail Valley! As always, dinner was fabulous and our server was just as great! I highly recommend Sato!

We've been regulars and, other than inconsistent disorganized service (though very pleasant people), have always been pleased with the quality of their sushi and other menu items if you don't like raw fish. The white tail with jalapeños is particularly good and the ribs fantastic. Sushi rice not the best, but we're not rice eaters so don't mind. Would get... More

Sato has always been expensive, but good. Not anymore. Now it is overpriced and bad. I mean really bad - fishy lake water smelling and tasting sushi. $16 for a single roll is just crazy and $15 for a mediocre glass of wine is too much for me.
