Steamworks is great, and I don't even drink beer anymore - people do say the beer is great though. I like the fact that Steamworks serves dinner later than the usual early closings around town - thank goodness we have one option for later meals....More

I've been living here for 4 years and this is our go to hangout spot. If you're a vegetarian get the Quinoa burger "southwest style".

We stopped in with friends to have dinner. They were packed, but we managed to get a table in about 10 minutes. The beer was good and service was pretty stellar considering the rush. I loved the chicken and tortilla soup and would highly recommend...More

Everyone raved about this restaurant, but we were disappointed. First, it was an hour and a half wait the first night. We came back the second night and had an early dinner, so we only waited 15 minutes. The menu choices were creative and unique,...More

The food is above average for this type of brew pub. They have an extensive menu ranging from starters through full course meals. There are vegetarian selections making it a great place to go if there are non-meat eaters in the group. Brew selection is...More

3/20/16- My son and I were in Durango during Spring Break. The 30 minute wait was well worth it. We are not beer drinkers, but enjoyed the great food, just as much! We had the 4 burger sliders for a great appetizer, but were pretty...More

We stopped in on a Thursday afternoon when they offer $2 pints on selected beer. Drea, our server, suggested an IPA which wasn't listed but was available for the $2. It was the Red Eye P.A or something like that. I think it was a...More

Sometimes places like this have great beer, but food as an afterthought. Not this place. Really good burgers, fish tacos, and apps. Would have given it 5 stars, but the atmosphere was not 5 stars. I guess it is a brew pub, but wish it...More

We are looking for a place for my son's rehearsal dinner. Your restaurant was mentioned as one of the bride's favorites!! Do you have the facilities to accommodate a party of probably 25 with a "per person" menu?

We do not allow dogs on our patio. We apologize for the inconvenience.
where is this establishment in relationship to the train depot? Will be visiting in near future and like craft beers. Would like to stop in and give them a shout out... and see how Durango beer compares to Michigan..... Just kidding..

We are three blocks north and one block east from the train station. Easy walking distance for great Colorado craft beer!

Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.
