On a recent stay in Durango, we had our beagle with us so we decided to get something delivered for dinner. I found Home Slice on the web. I saw our favorite, Margarita, and called to order one. The pizza was delivered hot to our hotel. It was quite good, although didn't beat our favorite back in Florida, it was... More

We did take-out and got an eggplant pizza and "Chicago-style" italian beef. Pizza was huge and pretty tasty. However, crust is doughy and not enough eggplant (plus they're tiny). Beef is not Chicago-style unless it refers solely to the thinly sliced meat. Bread is homemade but wrong type of bread and the meat-to-bread ratio is too low; really more of... More

Thank you for your recent visit GreggaryPeccary. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your pizza. Home Slice is freshly made by local, friendly people who make the place one of Durango's best-kept gems and can get quite busy at times. We appreciate the service reminder and I will be sure to share your feedback with our staff to ensure... More

They have an interesting list of speciality pizzas. I would have liked to have tried more. It's good pizza. Fresh dough crust, not frozen. Small bar with some local beer on tap.

Very disappointed. We are local and live in Durango. Our bartender was more concerned about his friends/coworkers getting all the drinks they wanted. The bar was a mess and dirty. He didn't ask if we wanted more drinks or bus out plates away. The girl who delivered our food made it to go when it was for there and forgot... More

Found this place a few years back and it quickly made it to my "must visit" list while in Durango. So, when we ended up with three folks who had never been, we had to have a pizza night. Large take out order, everyone sharing great pizza!! It was amazing. Love this place. Love their food!! We only wish we... More

We were driving through, spending the night in Durango, and decided to have some local pizza. This place was recommended by a local and it had high marks on here. We ordered out, rather than eating in. The person who helped us order was very helpful as they do have many options to choose from. 2 of their largest pizzas... More

Last night in Durango, the kids wanted to have pizza but we didn't want to go to a national brand. We were directed to this little pizza joint a couple blocks from Historic Downtown Durango. You can either purchase by the slice or a whole pizza. A wide range of variety and selections. You do have to serve yourself when... More

Nothing fancy. Lots of college kids and families. Fast service even if the line is to the door. Many, many choices for pizza--done quickly and well.

We got 4 slices of pizza and the garlic knots as a to-go order. Overall the pizza was pretty good, the crust/dough was great. My favorite was the margarita pizza. We would eat it again if in the area. The service was a bit slow, but they were busy. It's a cute environment and a nice location.

Forged in the searing heat of the missionary ridge fire of 2002, Homeslice Pizza was the brainchild of Childhood prodigy pizza eater, and genius entrepreneur Cory Kitch, his world renown chef brother Gabe Kitch, and super model, financial sorceress and nutrition expert ( most supermodels are nutrition experts) Lynn Kitch. Fixated since childhood on solving the world's problems, Cory found himself at a crossroads in 2002. Which problem to tackle first; global warming, energy, the chronic poor decision making of Hollywood idols? No, He knew he needed to start BIG...REAL BIG. That's when it hit him... And starting with a monumental gesture he ended a war. A war that no one thought would ever end. No, not the middle east thingy. The battle over who had the best pizza; New York or Chicago. He figured that, like trickle-down economics, if this war (perhaps the greatest of our time) could come to a peaceful resolution, then the rest of the wars, squabbles, disagreements, and altercations would simply realize their triviality. This realization would then lead to less global conflict bringing with it a sharp decline in fossil fuel consumption, which in turn would decrease carbon emissions, simultaneously ending the energy crisis and global warming. As for the Hollywood idiots (oops, idols) he would have to solve that problem later.
