Small, plain Mexican joint but the food and drinks are great! They have great fried tacos! If you are looking for a great place for tacos and a margarita this is your place!

This is the way tacos should be made. Loved the chicken as.long as you added the salsa. Beef were amazing just as they were...but the salsa kicked them over the top.

If you know me, I have a never ending search for amazing TEX MEX and cheese enchiladas! I'm always afraid of Mexican food north of the Red River, let alone cheese enchiladas. Sometimes Houston restaurants even get it wrong, so I was so pleased to not only find superb tex mex here but at a price UNDER 10$! Feels like... More

Seriously though, it may not be fancy, or very healthy. But it is seriously these fried tacos are the best tacos ever! I eat at this place frequently. Very homey atmosphere, staff is very friendly and attentive. I really should try some of the other menu items because they all look very delicious. But I keep going for the Tacos... More

A hole-in-the-wall with some great fried tacos and very good margaritas. Went on a Saturday, no wait and marg's on special all night. Homemade guac was great and both my wife's and my tacos were so different and delicious. Go to a high-priced, fancy restaurant if you want, but for the money, can't beat this place!

A bustling spot for a pregame Mexican food lunch. My go to has been chips and salsa, three steak tacos and a cold bottled beer for decades. Beef tacos are also a perfect choice. Very authentic spot in the renovated Larimer district dating back to the 1800's. Happy people and delicious Mexican fare make Mexico City a Denver gem well... More

In the 6 weeks I've lived in Denver, I've been to Mexico City 5 times. The hours are not great (closes at 430pm on weekdays when there is not a Rockies game), however, totally worth it! The beer is cold and you've got to have the fried tacos! The service is great and very inexpensive! Definitely a Denver staple! 🌮🍻

I read a lot of less than favorable reviews of this place but damn! I can't stop thinking about the tacos. Steak and avocado fried tacos were transformational. Yes, a bit greasy, but so freakin' good. The atmosphere is nothing to brag about and the service is just acceptable but those tacos!

Thank Sandi M
