Always a good sign when old family recipes (true) are in use. Jovial servers and atmosphere, quality ingredients (none of that plasticky cheese!) and excellent (spicy) salsa. The Sarape appetizer was excellent.

The place was getting packed by 11:30 am so I thought I was in the right place. Yet I was disappointed. The carnitas were bland and too fatty. The rice was just ok. The chips and salsa were pretty good but I wouldn't come here for this. I would not return.

A little bit of a wait on a weekend, but overall they provided great service and pretty authentic Mexican food! Also very reasonably priced!

Coming from Texas where we have amazing Mexican food on every corner, I was skeptical of how good a place in Denver could be. But everything from the house margarita, guacamole, quest, chimichanga, enchiladas, and stuffed sopapilla that we tried were delicious. Their green chili sauce is particularly yummy! I even went back next day for lunch.

Came as a recommendation. Good beef tacos, filling. The margarita was very good. Someone was eating the steak fajitas and they looked delicious.

A slight wait on a Saturday night but the tasty margaritas and incredibly fast food delivery made that disappear from memory. All of the meals were well prepared with fresh ingredients. Just the right level of spice.

La Loma recently moved locations and is now in central downtown. The new location is nice but lacks the character of the "old house" where it was located for decades. The food is still great and this is a good option for a nice sit-down meal. It's not cheap compared to other authentic Mexican spots around town but this is... More

For as popular as this restaurant is, I was surprised at the lack luster service and food. It was also loud. Our waitress only refilled one of the three people's iced tea, and only once throughout lunch. The bland carnitas filled tacos I got were so fatty I had to cut all the fat off before eating, leaving about half... More

Wait staff is always great. It is usually busy. They have really good kind of more tex-mex mexican, but very yummy!
