The portions are very generous and the flavor is above average. I had the large burrito and really enjoyed it.

Got 1 of 3 orders wrong, 2 meals were average one was poor. Long line at noon no wait at 2pm. Found a 20% off coupon in a book about places to eat in downtown Denver.

I've ate here a few times tbh and I love it every time. Plus they give you large portions. So def a good place to eat.

Don't listen to the haters; Sam's is like an NY/NJ diner but with way better food. Breakfast is a must; drag yourself out and load up-especially if you've never climbed Red Rocks to see a show-I'm talking to you my fellow keyboard jockeys.

Service was not great. Food was average. I had buffalo burger burrito. I asked for tater tots on side instead of inside burrito. Came out wrong, no big deal, waiter grabs plate and cones back a couple of minutes later after they took out the...More

Huevos Ranchero, Graham cracker ice cream, biscuits, and coffee are some of my favorite offerings here. Basically, everything I've ever tried has put a smile on my face. When I want diner food, I only want to go here. Great location too so I try...More

I had the #4 and substituted the homefries and toast for the 3 mini pancakes. All that for $3.33 - I was very pleased

More like an encyclopedia. Fantastic selection from breakfast through lunch to dinner and beyond. Traditional diner food with a twist...burgers, chili, sandwiches, soup, and dessert (check out the display up front). Staff was great, service fast, and good atmosphere. I opted for a simple burger...More

When you see a menu with so much variety, I can be skeptical, but everyone at our very varied table was happy. I ordered the smoked salmon caesar, and I was WOW'ed. It was memorably delicious. My sister had a smoked salmon burger, equally delicious,...More

Overall I'd say that this place is a quaint diner. Nice old vibe. Service is good. I had the Frito pie, was very good.

Yes, both our Pork and Veggie Kickin' Green Chilis are gluten free. We use corn masa instead of flour. The Original No. 3 Red Chili and Tex-Mex chilis are NOT gluten free. Hope this helps!

Description
Sam’s No. 3™ was the third of five Coney Islands restaurants opened by Sam Armatas during the 1920′s. The original location was at 1527 Curtis Street in the heart of downtown Denver. On Sept. 28th, 1998, Sam’s son, Spero, with his grandsons Sam, Alex, and Patrick, re-established his most famous of the Coney Islands restaurants, Sam’s No. 3™. In honor of the age old tradition, they made a promise to each other to continue to provide excellent quality of food and embrace the inviting, warm atmosphere started by “Mr. Sam” more than 75 years ago!In April 2011, our little kitchen was featured on Food Networks "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". We were selected because so many local fans had written. A must-stop on any trip to Denver.
