I am still dreaming about their breakfast burrito supreme smothered in green chile. Grabbed one on my way out to the airport. Upon tasting, I was extremely upset that I didn't try it sooner. This and Bacon Social House are highlights of Denver's food scene!

Awesome local place for breakfast! And...I'm a local.

BEST cinnamon rolls ever! I had an awesome burrito but my son talked me into a cinnomon roll and it's the BEST I've ever tried. I almost ate the entire roll and I ususally never eat pastries. This food, service and almosphere is down home Denver at it's best! Also, the prices are very modest.

Sketchy but tasty

Good food for a good price, but not the most comfortable area. Several homeless folks were wandering in the parking lot and the place didn’t have the most clean vibe. Knocks down the rating for me as I would likely not come back even with the tasty food

Horrible Visit

We (group of 5) came here after doing an escape room. It was just after 10p on a Saturday so naturally, it was busy. Luckily, not too busy yet as we were seated within 5 minutes. However, the table they were going to seat us at was still dirty. Ok, no big deal as they are busy. Our server was nice, but not really attentive while we there because it seemed that she was busy smoking with others in the back where they left the door open and cigarette smoke wafted in the entire time we were there. I ordered a french dip and the beef was so dry that it seemed like I was eating jerky. My friends meals were just as disappointing. While we were eating, we noticed tables opening up, but the employees just walked by them without cleaning them until a party came in and they needed the table. When we went to pay up front, there were 3 employees who were either on their phones or talking to one another showing one another things on their phones. They saw us but decided that their phones were more important for the next 3 minutes. I am a Denver native and have grown up going to Pete's Kitchen and have always loved it, but after this visit, I doubt I will return.

Dont let the location detour you!

First off, yes, sketchy location, but remember, Petes was here before the neighboorhood turned. They have their own parking lot as well. Let me tell you, this place is amazing!!! Authenic as it can get. Great price, quality/quanity food. Serivce..... hands down amazing! the Gyro meat was spot on and I am from Chicago! Just like what I remember as a kid. Yes, location is eiffy but fine. Again, this joint was here before. Nostalgic.

Great Diner

I had a burrito and it was fabulous. Too big, so I had to take some home. Also loved the hash browns. The waitstaff were stretched thin, so service was a bit slow.

Scary to get to, but worth it

Lots of homeless people begging for money. However, after walking the gauntlet, the environment was comfortable. Food was awesome and prices good for Denver. Recommended to all.

And like most local legends, the experience is great but not perfect. Our breakfasts were delicious and reasonably-priced, but the seating inside the small building is cramped and our waitress was borderline surly and slow to return after the meal was finished and we were ready for the check.

Had the Greek salad with roasted chicken. enormous! Delicious! took it home and had it for dinner. Great vibe, fun funny waitress, great first meal in Denver.

Bad experience

I've been to the one off Washington in Thornton, I refuse to go back because of their "smoking area" it is literally just a few feet from the dining area with a screen door separating it, smoke wafts through and nobody cares.

This was our very first stop our first time in Denver. It's a cute diner with a lot of memorabilia on the wall. That made it interesting as well as pics of famous that have dined there, very diverse loved it. The prices were great and the food portions were HUGE! The service was great and prompt. Not one complaint. This is a must try! This a true diner can't wait to go back!
