It is often difficult to find restaurants that cater specifically to all dietary restrictions (i.e. vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerant, gluten-free, etc. etc). The waitress even clarified after ordering about any other food allergies, sensitivities, etc. so they are super conscious of that which is awesome if you need it! If you don't have any restrictions, that is fine too because the food is high quality & delicious. I had the gluten-free & vegan mac n' cheese with tofu. Haha! I laughed a bit at the concept of vegan & gluten-free mac n' cheese (so, what is it?!) but it was very tasty & served piping hot. They also have a full bar. Of course, prices are little bit more expensive although I'm guessing on par with other downtown Denver options. The vibe is fun, although a little too hipstery for my taste (I mean, hey, it WAS expected though considering the restaurant itself). The wait staff was friendly & food didn't take long even though the place was busy.

This menu was equally a dream and a huge challenge. Eating a restrictive diet normally means that I have a hard time figuring out what to eat. Exactly the opposite was true here. I wanted to try EVERYTHING. I avoid gluten and dairy and just had to go with the Chicken & Waffles (because it is something that I would never order). Their version was amazing. The cauliflower "friend chicken" was impressive. We sat outside on a beautiful fall day and enjoyed the best brunch. It was such a treat. I wanted to stay another day in Denver just so I could go back and try more. It was that good. I did leave with a Scout Cookie Trio in hand and the Samoa-like cookies were equally amazing and delicious. I will definitely make another stop at this eclectic restaurant when I make it back to Denver. Two non-restrictive eaters joined me and they equally loved all of the food.

While visiting Denver I stopped at this great little spot on East 13th for breakfast and some bakery goods. It’s really a cool Restaurant with good vibes good food coming from a wonderful menu with many choices, all of them interesting. One other thing I can really vouch for is the pumpkin bread. Big thick slices of the very best I have ever eaten as thought my friends whom I treated.

I have beef ( vegan ) with the service and business model here. The service is truly hit or miss and lacks tact , respect and friendliness .. maybe in part because the “ service fee “ is automatic. Hmm. The US tipping culture is the black sheep of the world and truly is indigestible. If you click on the website you’ll see the attatched photo. If you want your workers to be paid fair wages … pay them fair wages ? Let’s also mention that if you visit the bakery next door and order a pastry TO GO , you’re charged an extravagant service fee for the back of house. How can y’all keep a straight face while attempting to charge me 8 dollars and change for a BROWNIE ?

Terrible, rude service. Food was below average. 20% forced gratuity. Never coming back. The hostess saw us come in and continued having a conversation while occasionally making bored eye contact with us like this was some sort of sick dominance control game. In this completely empty restaurant while still waiting to be seated she went back in the kitchen, talked to a few other employees and then finally came over to seat us. We watched the hostess do this over and over again to other customers. She would see them, ignore them, do some non urgent tasks and then eventually come to seat them. Is this the policy of the restaurant? Food took a while and was dry, poorly conceived and overpriced. 20% mandatory surcharge? Why don’t you just pay your employees a living wage instead of passing in the cost to costumers? It’s a big loop hole to avoid paying taxes. This is the policy from Colorado department of labor and employment “Tip Credits and Minimum Wage Under COMPS Order #38, employers of tipped employees must pay a cash wage of at least $10.63 per hour if they claim a tip credit against their minimum hourly wage obligation. If an employee's tips combined with the employer's cash wage of at least $10.63 per hour do not equal the minimum hourly wage of $13.65 per hour, the employer must make up the difference in cash wages. It is the policy of the Division of Labor Standards and Statistics that this rule applies on a weekly basis. The employee's tips combined with the employer's $10.63 cash wage must equal the minimum hourly wage when computed over a seven-day workweek in order for the employer to avoid making up any difference.” This is rich people passing on expenses to the consumer under the guise of wokeness. The owners, Jennifer Byers, Hannah Kuehl, and Lauren Roberts should take a serious look at all the negative reviews about customer service and the legality/ethics of their mandatory gratuity practices. I’m happy to tip but not if the money keeps the owners from owing the difference for minimum wage tip workers.

Enjoyed an amazing vegan meal here while sitting outside overlooking the state capital. I loved loved the “chicken” and waffles. The fried cauliflower (chicken) was extremely well cooked and flavorful. We also tried the vegan Mac and cheese which was good but not my top ever vegan Mac and cheese. We got the oatmeal pie and ho ho cupcake to go and omg both amazing and huge!! If I am ever back in Denver I will def be eating here again.

The food was great however the lady behind the counter was extremely rude. We came in 3:00 on Wednesday. As we walked and up to the counter the cashier treated us like we just came in her house without knocking. We all looked at each other like what is wrong with this lady. My daughter was looking at the cupcakes. The cashier told her you're in the wrong place if you ordered online and pointed her away. We only spent 100 bucks there and she still bought 4 of the cupcakes. Nice place but please send that cashier to charm school Wow!

We had the Blackened carrots (so many layers of flavors) and pizza pockets as appetizers - both delicious! Then we had the Chophouse burger (best veggie burger we’ve ever had) and “fried chicken” (cauliflower) and waffles - to die for. This place is not only the best veggie restaurant in Denver, it’s the best Gluten Free restaurant. We’ll be back frequently.

The food here is incredible. They have the best vegan/vegetarian food I’ve ever had. The chefs have meticulously created a vegan versions of classic meals. The burger tastes like a burger. The ranch seitan wrap tastes like chicken and ranch. It’s all spot on. Highly highly recommend.

Server did not explain 20% taxed surcharge. In addition to the surcharge, there was a tip line. If there’s a 20% surcharge fee and a tip line, I would personally not tip another 20%. First of all it makes eating out unaffordable for me. Second, it ruins the restaurant’s goal of trying to have more equitable wages for all employees.

Thank you City O' City for a lovely vegan/vegetarian dining experience! This was such a fun place to stop in and I will happily be back. Loved the pizza rolls quite possibly the most and the breakfast burritos was also spot on. The breakfast hash I had was filled with veggies and nothing was lacking flavor. Cool atmosphere with a variety of art and the bar seating was great. Loved it and this is the place for the vegans & vegetarians of Denver!

First visit, but not our last. Non-descript from the outside, but very colorful and interesting interior, with great tasting food. I had the Lemon Tarragon Pasta for lunch. Orecchiette pasta tossed in a lemon tarragon butter wine sauce with asparagus, peas and fennel confit. Topped with watercourse parm, pine nuts, lemon marinated snap peas and fresh tarragon. My spouse had the BBQ Bowl, vegan mac and cheese topped with BBQ tofu with mustard glazed greens, creamy coleslaw and fried onions. Both dishes had unusual flavors and were very tasty.

Terrible service. Hated the experience. Will never return. 20% automatic service charge. You can tell they don't have to try! Only thing tasty was the French fries. Look at all the negative reviews here and they almost always above all else hate the service, and yet it remains horrible. Management must not give a f***. We walked in, the hostess was nearby, she looked at us and went back to her conversation. The conversation did not look the least bit urgent. Everyone leaning and laughing. She looks at us again, doesn't acknowledge us, and then walks to the kitchen. Chats for a minute with a cook, and then slowly makes her way over to us. It wasn't iust us. We saw this over and over because we were seated up front. Food was mediocre. Burger was too dry, tomatoes were mealy, a measly limp slice of romaine. Jerk cauliflower just okay. Poor presentation as well as taste. Never again.

The most versatile and delicious food for vegans and vegetarians...even the "meat eaters" in our group enjoyed the vegan options. Would recommend 1000 times over. I would come back several times if my trip were longer.

We’re staying in Denver and have literally eaten here each day of our trip so far for breakfast and dinners. We inhaled the “chicken” n waffles and Sardou breakfast entrees. The coffees great; the desserts are great, the cocktails rock. We haven’t found anything yet we didn’t like. Plus the staff is super dope. Highly recommend!
