Busy place on a Wednesday evening, but service was excellent. Warm corn chips and salsa to start, followed by two vegetarian entrees, and we were happy people. Spinach enchiladas with tomatillo salsa were excellent, and a GIGANTIC veggie burrito that was exceptional!

We had lunch here on Sunday and the food was just okay. My wife had beef tacos and I had chicken quesadillas. Mine was better than hers. She said that the spice was strange tasting. Also, it felt like the waitress was trying to get us out as fast as possible.

Most visitors to Canon City stay on the main drag (US Hwy 50) through town. Diverting to main street (1 block North) reveals a different face of Canon City. El Caporal gave itself away by having the only FULL parking lot of all the restaurants we saw. That's always a good sign. We were actually welcomed by a friendly hostess.... More
