This restaurant is in an unpretentious metal warehouse building. There is usually a 20-30 minute wait when it is busy. Even the chips and salsa are very good. I ordered the Blue Corn Enchiladas. Superb! I told the waitress that I wanted it served at hotness level 10 and was not disappointed. The plates were so big that we have... More

Good food. A complete hole in the wall. Careful, some food can be really spicy. Always crowded. Be prepared to wait.

I eat at Efrain's II in Boulder twice a week and have never bee disappointed. It is busy so expect to wait, have a Marg and relax. Everything I have tried on the menu is great. Somewhat surprisingly I think they may have the best French Fries in town.

I don't normally like green chile, with all it's crappy soup base or thickeners or whatever most places turn it into. Here, it's just straight green chiles and wow is it good. Food was actually too hot for me, but still, it was awesome. Beans were great, salsas very good. everything around me looked good too. Go there.

Bean tostada is fabulous. Food is very good and reliable. Always a wait so come prepared for that. Definitely worth a visit for good reliable Mexican food.

This place was recommended and I am so happy we gave it a try. As I followed my navigation I thought I was lost or the restaurant was no longer there but to my surprise it was located in an almost industrial area. We had to wait for a table but it was worth it! The chili verde is very... More

After many, many years of patronage at this restaurant I had the ugly experience today of being told that I could no longer order the Numero Uno in three different plates. I have ALWAYS ordered this triple a la carte item this way as I do not want them all run together making crispy tacos into mushy offerings. Two people... More

This is a great no frills Mexican food restaurant. Met with my sister and brother in-law while visiting Boulder. I had had the Beef and Bean Burrito - it came smothered in red sauce. It was so good. I wish i had asked for it to come with lettuce and sour cream - I saw other people do that. The... More

The bartender promised my husband the strawberry ritas - on the rocks - wouldn't disappoint. He was right! I really enjoyed them. I also had a regular - but strawberry was the best!! They don't serve queso ... but we got along just fine without it. The salsa was also good. And being from Texas ... they make their quesadillas... More

We love this place. We are locals and visit once a week. If you want spicy original Mexican food then come on over. They have fantastic food and the margarita are amazing as well! Ask for the green salsa if you like it hot!
