We ate there once. Very small food portions. Prices are high for food value. The biggest thing is they don't answer the phone or return your call when a message is left. They don't have hours on the recording. It says leave message and we'll...call you. Many of our friends called and no call back. Poor service! They say the phone is spotty. Change your recording to have hours and let people know when you close for sick people. People come to your place on a Sunday expecting to be open. Long drive to get nothing. No note on door either. No customer service!More

This mountaintop grill has gone thru many iterations but now Lino's from Bakersfield have taken it on and developed a fabulous mountian-mex menu. This is now as best as this place has ever been. I have been coming to each grill up here since 1979...and this is now well worth the visit. Full bar.More

Greasy appetizers, bad service, a huge tv over our heads with sweaty armpit basketball game, during a fancy expensive graduation supper. Ugh

If your looking to beat the heat in the summer or get warm after playing in the snow, Set Your Navigation to find this little hideaway. Clean, Impressive Construction Building giving it a cabin feel, all nestled in the tress on Greenhorn Mountain. This place...has a kitchen that is Huge. They invested enough to make sure that their customers get what they would expect from an eatery.More

Used to be charming, albeit expensive , with in the mountains ambience and good food- now there are animal heads everywhere, the bars closed off with a plastic tarp, the trees have all been chopped down, and big TV's with sports blare as you try...to eat. And the food was pretty awful. The appetizer was a huge pile of frozen breaded stuff cooked in old grease. The menu has been reduced to giant steaks and the same old, same old. What a shame. We went here for a special occasion last summer and it was embarrassing to have recommended it to out of town guests.More

Odd location for a restaurant. My family lived up on the hill so we went there for dinner. Food was fine-nothing extraordinary, waitress was super nice- people watching was interesting- lots of locals cock-tailing with kids running round.

I've tried their steak and I absolutely loved it. It was delicious. It's a bit away from everything but well worth the drive. The atmosphere is very calm and this place is cool in the summer.

We were taking a drive to escape from the Bakersfield heat and just happened to find The Greenhorn Grill. The staff was very friendly and our waitress, Shawna, was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We just had drinks and appetizers which were excellent. We...were told that some of the cabins in the area are available for rent. Our plan is to rent a cabin in Alta Sierra, raft the Kern River and finish up with dinner at The Greenhorn Grill. Let's hope for a lot of snow this winner so there will be plenty of water in the river and Lake Isabella next year.More

If you are visiting the Lake Isabella or Kernville area, or driving over the summit of Greenhorn Mt. this a great place to stop for lunch or dinner. Good menu, great beer on tap, nice wines and a friendly and casual atmosphere. A restaurant has...been in this general location for decades. Fires and demolition preceded the remodel of the present Greenhorn Grill with its animal heads on the wall, official Jackalopes, and western decor. It is a popular spot with the locals with a great bar and outside seating. Restaurant is very nice. Hours are limited to the weekends so check online or call ahead. Had a great Western Hamburger and onion rings with some Moose Drool. Beautiful setting and worth a stop atop beautiful Greenhorn Mt. About 6000' altitude so 25 degrees cooler than the valley and snow in winter.More

I had lunch today at the Greenhorn Grill Express on the Blvd in Wofford Heights. A brand new business in Wofford Heights, a walk up fast food place with seating outside with shade. I had an All American Burger. The meat was generous, lots of...cheese and Real Bacon. the burger was great, and the fries were good as well. Lots to choose from on the menu and they will be adding new items and Specials as they go forward. I would recommend to my friendsMore
