Having to Noby elsewhere we expected the place to be 'special' and smart. The food was great as always in Nobu and expensive but the decor was poor and had no atmosphere at all. It felt like someone had just moved some cheap Formica tables in a concrete space and hid the wall with bamboo panels. The floor was just... More

I love Nobu. Been to almost all of them. This time, I took two guests who flew in from Germany just for this meeting and I wanted them to have a good time. Unfortunately, the Nobu Malibu was booked, so we picked this one, which I have been to before. Sally, the waitress was nice but far from shining. She... More

Tiny tasteless portions and too expensive, Can not recommend this restaurant, will never go back! The service was ok, but the dinner was too little with no taste at all, and we where hyngry after the dinner thus we paid more than we have done in two weeks!

I've been to Nobu in 3 different countries. The food at Nobu is always at a remarkable standard, and Hollywood is no exception. However I was really disappointed in the restaurant standard, compared to the other Nobu restaurants this was in my taste a bit too regular. We felt a bit overdressed and the vibe of the restaurant was not... More

Loved the dinner here, and knew what to expect from going to so many other Nobus (NYC, London, Bahamas, etc). But by far my favourite Nobu location is Nobu Malibu! And being in LA it is tempting to want to go all the way out there just for that restaurant, bu we decided to stay local and go to the... More

We had the LA Omakasi and we're very disappointed with the quality and creativity of the food! Having dined at some of the finest restaurants in the world, our experience felt like fast food. We were pushed the whole dinner! I would not recommend Nobu as a high end dining option.

We have eaten at Nobu in Vegas & Hong Kong so have our favourite dishes. The miso cod & rock shrimp tempura are a stand out and these dishes didn't disappoint. We also tried the lobster ceviche & yellow tail as cold started and both were outstanding. Would recommend this restaurant if in this part of LA.

We had booked 3 months in advance for our trip to Nobu. When we sat down the waiter offered to take over our ordering for us. One of us was vegan which was no issue at all. He went forward and ordered on our behalf and every dish was AMAZING. The food was so fresh and tasty. The restaurant lived... More

We told everyone how much we love the food at Nobu and each time we were stopped and asked if it was the Malibu location. We told them "No, West Hollywood." They would be so disappointed and say something like "oh....". It's crazy the West Hollywood location was quaint and the service was great, as usual. The prices were just... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
