A nice variety on the menu. Great food and service. Can accommodate large groups and is consistent in all areas. Good bar and great deserts.

We eat here fairly regularly,, mainly because this is the only restaurant at the east end of the Kern River Valley. Great lunch menu, and standard steakhouse fare at medium-expensive prices. (If you order the daily special you get free dessert).

Not much to choose from in this area. We were staying in the Walker Pass Camground before heading out for a backpacking trip. We wanted a good meal. A bit on the pricey side but portions were good size. Everyone had a steak. Evidently this...is a family owned and operated restaurant and the genuine, friendly service reflected that. On our way to Porterville we were looking for lunch and passed by Sierra Vista. What a positive surprise. Great fresh food and nice people. We both took a salad with chicken/ beef. Nicely cocked and juicy meat, excellent salad Highly recommend to stop to...have lunch.More

The owners & wait staff are friendly & welcoming. The prime rib is great on Friday evenings. Desserts are freshly made each day. Full bar & patio dining, if wanted.

Excellent ! This is a family owned and run restaurant. They ALWAYS serve the best food and give the best service! So the one and only negative review... Completely false! Guess he didn't like the included gratuity on all large parties (pretty standard for any...restaurant) Which he didn't pay and stiffed the waitresses of any tip at all!More
