Unfortunately first and hopefully my last experience with this venue. We came in for a group holiday event and we were put in a different room than normal, so it was incredibly hard to navigate and socialize with people that we do not get to see every day as we are from different locations. Upon arriving I found a seat... More

I have been to Vic Stewart's many times thru the years, and it has generally remained consistent. But recently, I have noticed that the food preparation, freshness of vegetables, and service have declined. In fact, on a recent visit I had to send the food back as it was not prepared properly. What a disappointment as I used to like... More

Tonight my family went to Vic Stuarts in Walnut Creek. We get there and the room we are in is cold, I am saying really cold I told the waiter and response: there was only one heater and is was not able to heat that room. Then we ordered drinks took fifteen minute for two drinks to come. Next we... More

Although the service was good, the food was run of the mill, and definitely not worth the money spent. There are better and cheaper steak houses in the area. The best thing about the restaurant was its Happy Hour with excellent $6.00 martinis. The only way I would return would be to have a couple of drinks and appetizers in... More

I went to Vic Stewart's Steakhouse in Walnut Creek last night. A top 10 Steakhouse it is NOT! The service was not good, the food was average. Their mushrooms and potatoes all came cool not hot, the extras like butter, sour cream, bacon and chives all were to come with the meal but we needed to ask for. Drinks were... More

Party of four for Mother's Day Sunday, early dinner reservation. The server was very professional; he went the extra mile to help make our mom's dinner special. He offered tastes of two different wines so she could choose the one she liked, he cut her steak for her, got a straw so she could drink her water easier, and when... More

Visiting my husband at his out-of-town place of work, we needed a little something special where we could enjoy each others company, talk about the home front, the job, and the family, without a crowded restaurant. We were seated in a private dining car (authentic old Pullman 1909). The privacy was just what we needed, the service was excellent, the... More

Used to be the longest Happy Hour in town with decent items priced fair. Now the hours got shortened, the prices nearly doubled and the place was empty and dark last Wednesday. The vibe and the mood have also changed with the bored waiters that have too few to serve. New joints opened in town and regardless of this making... More

We took our family there for our grandsons birthday. First, our waiter was fabulous. Attentive, engaged, funny, helpful everything you want in a waiter. The ambience is also perfectly varied depending on which room you are in. Casual with fireplace, upscale with fireplace or cozy train cars there is something to please everyone. The food was also very good. The... More

3 of us went here for Dinner. The ambiance is lovely. Our waiter was good, but grossly understaffed. I had to ask twice for my wine. I ordered the special rack of lamb. It came to the table barely warm. The mashed potatoes were so salty I could not eat them. I do not feel this place is worth the... More
