I do not generally review dining with the exceptions of either an excellent experience or a long standing favorite restaurant that has declined. We followed the original crew from Morton's to this location. Thoroughly enjoyed dining frequently for family celebrations or just a last minute late dinner. Tonight it was a family birthday party which was not an enjoyable event... More

It was our granddaughters 16th birthday and so she requested we go to the Winery for dinner....how could we refuse? The six of us descended on the restaurant and once seated...we waited. And waited. And waited. For a place that supposedly has good service it was a huge disappointment. Finally, the waitress asked if we wanted wine or cocktails. We... More

Oysters on half shell were just average. The fish specials both cost about $50 - ripoff. Instead, ordered shrimp and scallops with risotto. Everything looks beautiful in the plate but like many places in OC, flavor lacks. Do OC residents like bland food? Wine choices by the glass were just ok. It as too noisy to have business discussions. I... More

Nice view of the harbor. Impressive wine collection. The wait staff was very attentive and catered to our needs. We ordered a seafood tower appetizer. It was a meal by itself, includes shrimp, lobster, tuna, ray oysters with 5 different sauces. Yumm! Entree was a bone in tenderloin aged to perfection. I ordered medium and it was perfectly prepared to... More

Stopped in on a Sunday night to have a glass of wine and a snack - they had live music and the place was pretty busy - we were seated pretty quickly and then- waited twice for our wine - pretty sure he forgot as the food came out right away - it has a great vibe - the appetizers... More

We have been here many times with my very elderly father....94! I request the wine round room because it is more intimate (and close to the entry for my dad). Service has always been spot on, in the round wine room. We have been seated in other areas although requesting the wine round room, due to my father's age and... More

We were looking for fine dining with good steaks, what we got was over priced food with poor service and food quality. Ordered filet steak medium what I got was rare and so tough I had to saw it with steak knife. After about three bites I sent back and waited for another 25 mins before a passable medium well... This was one of the nicest restaurants I've ever eaten in. Firstly, our waitress was a vision of incredible beauty and possibly the best host in a restaurant I've ever experience. Smart, funny and extremely professional. Sheila was her name. The food was just amazing .... so well presented and perfectly cooked. Loved it can't wait to go back.

According to our waiter, The Winery specializes in wild game. I had the wild venison special and it was amazing. My wife and I shared a side of au gratin potatoes, which had both Yukon gold and sweet potatoes. She loved the combo. I liked the Seghesio Zinfandel they had by the glass, but they ran out before I could... More
